Lisbeth Skindbjerg Kristensen. Born in Helsingoer, Denmark in 1968. Education: Master’s degree in architecture (Cand.Arch) from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen (1997), as well as a Post- professional Master of Architecture, Lighting certificate program, from University of Washington in Seattle (2001). Work experience: Between 1997 and 2005, Lisbeth worked as a teacher at the School of Architecture in Copenhagen, and as a guest teacher at University of Washington. She spent three years as a research scholar at the Danish Building Research Institute, co-authoring, among other things, two publications on School Lighting. (She also held one year of maternity leave) From May 2005 until April 2014 Lisbeth worked as a senior lighting designer at Ramboll Denmark in Copenhagen. During her 9 years with Ramboll, she gained solid experience in both client consultancy and general lighting design. Her project portfolio includes work for both public and private sector clients, among others: The Danish Royal Household, Carlsberg Breweries, Municipality of Copenhagen DK, Municipalities of Malmoe and Lund, Sweden, Maersk Oil and Gas and Copenhagen Airport. Her skill set includes: • Visual and ergonomic aspects of lighting. • Urban lighting: Light planning, concept development and fitting specification. Master plans as well as location specific designs. • Schools and child care centers: Research in and design of daylight and artificial light in educational buildings. • Teaching and presentation of the lighting design profession. Lisbeth currently lives in Basel, Switzerland with her family, working free- lance as a Lighting planner. She is an active member of the non-profit organization Transnational Lighting Detectives (TNT) since 2003.
