Just like you go to the doc-tor for a physical or takeyour car in for regularmaintenance, your businesscan benefit from periodiccheck-ups. For many busi-nesses, the next twomonths will be the busiestof the year. While you as abusiness owner or manager

have a lot on your plate, this is also a very valuabletime to review your opera-tions and facilitate planningfor next year.

Take a few minutes now toset up a notepad or online/phone document thatallows you to create aneasily accessible list ofthings that you considerimportant to the success of your business. Makenotes - successes, com-plaints, mistakes, opportuni-ties, on-going problems - oneach item. Document whatyou see in real-time andalso ask customers, employ-ees and friends.

You’ll be surprised how thisvery simple task can helpidentify problems andopportunities. It lets youremember and organizeinformation so that you can

see relationships. If feasible,it may let you adapt imme-diately – price changes toreflect competitors, specialholiday hours in responseto customer input, or bet-ter employee scheduling toincrease efficiency andlower overhead. Our Army is changing and our community remains one of the most supportive and military inclusive communities in the country. Our attendees brought back lasting memories and made a genuine impact on our national Army community.

Our local community continues to thrive in our military inclusive environment, sponsor-ing our annual K-State/Ft. Riley day on November 3rd. Visitors Oklahoma State Universityarrived to an enormous tailgate held for our local service members and their families. We
