In the 31rd century Diego e Isabel lived in Teruel. They were friends since they were kids.

Allá por el siglo XIII vivían en Teruel dos jóvenes llamados Diego e Isabel que se conocían desde que eran

niños.

They fall in love and decided that Diego request Pedro, Isabel´s father, the hand of his daughter.

Con el paso de los años se enamoraron y decidieron que Diego solicitara a D. Pedro, padre de Isabel, la manos de su

hija.

Pedro refused because he had few assets

Éste, aunque estimaba a Diego, se negó debido a la escasez de su patrimonio

Diego asked within 5 years Isabel to get name and fortune. If after that he didn´t return, she would be

free.

Diego pidió a Isabel un plazo de 5 años a fin de conseguir nombre y fortuna. Si pasado ese tiempo no volvía, ella sería

libre.

Diego went to the war to get wealth and title, that he was allowed to marry his beloved

Y Diego partió a la guerra para conseguir las riquezas y títulos que le permitirían casarse con su amada.

Diego fought with bravery in the battles and he got fortune and great honors.

Luchó con valentía batalla tras batalla y gracias a su valor consiguió fortuna y grandes honores.

Diego didn´t return and thy thought he was dead. Isabel got marry to Fernando. He was a noble and wealthy man.

El plazo terminó, y como Diego no volvía, le dieron por muerto. Isabel, resignada, tuvo que casarse con Fernando, un noble y rico señor.

That same day after the wedding, Diedo came loaded with honors and riches, but it was so late.

Ese mismo día, después de la boda, llegó Diego cargado de honores y riquezas, pero era demasiado tarde.

He was desesperate to hear the news, he came into the house to talk to Isabel, but nobody saw him.

Desesperado al enterarse de la noticia, entró en la casa para hablar con Isabel, sin que nadie lo viera.

Diego asked one last kiss but she refused it because she was married. In that moment, Diego fell dead on her feet.

Cuando se encontraron , Diego le pidió un último beso. Isabel, aunque lo amaba, se lo negó por estar ya casada. En ese momento, Diego cayó muerto a sus pies.

The next day the funerals were held for Diego. After the ceremony, Isabel approached the coffin to give a kiss to Diego.

Al día siguiente se celebraron los funerales de Diego. Al terminar la ceremonia, Isabel se acercó al féretro, quería darle el beso que le había negado el día anterior.

She stayed there. She didn´t move. She was dead too.

Se quedó allí reclinada hasta que fueron a apartarla. No se movía. También ella había muerto.

Before such a great love, there present decided to buy together with their hands joined.

Ante un amor tan grande, los allí presentes decidieron que los enterraran juntos con las manos unidas.
