Spotlight: action learning project
At the heart of this course is an ‘action learning’ project. Participants work in small groups to agree an entrepreneurial idea to develop throughout the week. This provides a concrete way for participants to test and apply the learning from the course as well as network and learn from others.
We motivate you to:• See entrepreneurship as a framework for
exploration and decision-making
• Identify, evaluate, and innovate around opportunities in the environment
• Test the underlying assumptions and hypotheses through experimentation
• Build social and institutional ecosystems that support your entrepreneurial end-goals
• Surmount implementation and scale-up challenges with innovative solutions.
The course brings practical insights into assembling and managing teams, raising capital, and scaling within entrepreneurial ventures. We also address the opportunities and challenges that emerging technologies and new markets create. En route, the narratives of individuals, products, and networks are woven into a cohesive portrait of the entrepreneurial process.
What you will gain from the course• Take the deep-dive and solve entrepreneurial
challenges in an intellectually rich and diverse environment
• Gain a clear understanding of what successful entrepreneurs do, how they to do it, and why it matters
• Develop skills in using durable evidence-based frameworks applicable to complex entrepreneurial dilemmas
• Gain valuable insights into emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems in media, finance, and design
• Acquire skills that are part-and-parcel of a successful leader’s portfolio of strategic tools.
.
