MOTHERS, do you 'realize the''great privilege, and yet the heavyresponsibility that is yours as amother. You have given birth toan eternal soul which can neverdie. The Bible teaches us that eachperson born into the world mustsomeday stand before the judgmentbar of God. Only those who knowJesus as their Savior can hope tospend eternity with God. What .•will be the outcome when YOUR child^stands before God?

At Sunday School and Church yo;>rchild learns about his responsibility towards God. But we all learnmore by the example of those aroundus, than wc do from the words thatare spoken to us. What lessons areyour children learning about religion in your home? When they mustmake a choice between worshiping

"God *ahd l:iayihg""a "good" time ,they encouraged to put God first?Are they taught to be honest at alltimes even when is it not convenicn-Are they encouraged to study God'sWord as well as their school books?Are they encouraged to do what the;;feel is right, even if it is inconvenient for you?

Perhaps the best way that youcan show them that their life be fore-God is important is to faithfullyattend Church and read the BiUlotogether. BE IN CHUTiOrl

tings from the Luttrells in Honolulu, Hawaii in the -najne ofwonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Henrietta, am writing this letter, because Charles"'is on themainland now on an emergency furlough due to the death of h-irsfather. Charles left here on August 15, and will stay for sev--

months visiting the churches. We have been working with the Palo-Valley Church of Christ for over three years now, and it was becoming

apparent that we needed to take a furlough, and report tothe churches concerning the victories, problems, and needs for thechurch, and the family's need for further support. If YOU would like tohave Charles speak in your church please contact him at his mother'shome, 13372 South Ohio Avenue, Kokomo, Indiana ^6902. He vrill probablyT Kokomo area and points east until time to leave for theNational Missionary Convention in Joplin, Missouri, September 28. Per-

^ you can talk with him at our booth at the Convention and arrange aeaking date.

•The new addition to our family arrived Juhe 23, weighing 7 lbs, lli 02.,with Just a little light, brown-hair,--an-d-b-lue eyes which—now—seem-to-be —turning brown. We named her Lora Lei ("lei" in Hawaiian for "flower"and is pronounced lay ). She Is a good baby—sleeps all night long.

"Vacation Bible School and one-week Revival (Holland A. Steever,Bel Air, Md., evangelist) were well attended, and v/e were all spirituallystrengthened. The children especially enj-veri Bart Steever's nightlytrumpet solo. Our best prospects attenct*;

Ustill rejecting Christ as Savior. It takes a loag time to comoletelychange one's thinking about God, Christ, tno c-i-c. On August 1Tml Slrl was baptized. She had exprrir-icd a desire to be duringVBS In June, but we warned to talk to her parents first, and could not—make an appointment. The father has two and tne mother Is Japan-

speaks almost no English. We wanted i-o go when an older l8-yearold brother, who is an ardent, surfer, would be home and could Interpretfor us. He knows very little of Christianity, and it was hard to express spiritual ideas in terms that he could understand and then relateto his mother. She did consent to the baptism and was present in theservice. Praise Godi Two other girls from Buddhist backgrounds (onehad a Catholic father) were denied the privilege of being Immersed. Ahxgh school girl has indicated that she wants to be baptized Sunday.

Karen Mutsch and Gayle Pearson, mission interns from Ozark Bible College,helped us through the revival and VBS, and then helped in other places,returning here each Sunday to teach classes. The other intern BobLanyon, helped the Stills at the Hauula Church (at our suggestion). Hewl i^be there until the George Hope family arrives in September to helpin ^ministering to the Hauula congregation, and then Bob. will returnnere to fill in for Charles. How we do appreciate the efforts of theseextra workers.

Miss Opal Harvey, a school-teacher from Kokomo, Indiana, spent thesummer with us, and was our "life-saver". She was in charge of Children':^urch, taught the Beginner class on Sunday morning, the Juniors onFriday night, and two hours of Story and Craft time two days each weekplus^doing the family washing and ironing, and much of the cleaning andcooicing. We thank God for helpers who are willing to WORKii
