A STRONG PARTNERFOR THE MINING INDUSTRY IN GREENLAND

Our vast experience in the logistic processes, which are of vital impor-tance when trading in arctic areas, stands for a high degree of flexibility in delivering goods.

In Greenland we are locally repre-sented in several towns: Nuuk, Ilulis-sat and Uummannaq. Thus we supply our customers locally in Greenland as well as from Denmark.

This flexibility, our extensive logistic solutions and wide range of productstargeted the mining industry make us a very strong and unique partner in trade.

It is always swift, easy and reliable to trade with us.

WE CARE / CSR

In Arctic Import we believe that a company’s responsibility is not limited to internal factors of the company. Respon-sible company management requires that you also give something back to the society in which you operate. Con-sequently the expression “We Care” is part of our foundation of values in all the companies of Arctic Group. Arctic Import is a registered company in Denmark as well as in Greenland. There-fore we pay company taxes in both coun-tries. But even though a substantial part of our sales to Greenland takes place from our head office in Aalborg the fiscal legislation requires that we also pay taxes of these sales in Greenland. And we are happy to do so, as this is in keeping with our understanding of “We Care”.

Hence within the last 10 years we have paid more than 12.5 million Dkr. in company taxes in Greenland.

Action says more than words and through several sponsor initiatives we have shown social responsibility towards the society of Greenland. When we cele-brated our 25th anniversary we wanted to make a difference; so instead of the customary anniversary gift we asked for monetary contributions which we donated to charitable purposes among children and young people in Greenland. We have done the same in connection with birthdays celebrated in our group of companies.
