already stated. He meant that knowledge and/or

education is one of the important values in life.

Importance for Oils & Fats industry

• In the Netherlands, no specific education in lipids at professional schools or universities

• Not in a technical direction nor in administrative/economic direction

• A gap that needs to be filled since 25 % of the EU oil processing capacity is located in the Netherlands

What’s there?

• From a trade point of perspective there is a

course organized by FOSFA (UK)

• Introductory and Middle Managers Course

(each 1 week)

• Focus on trade, shipping, contracts,

insurance, supervision and arbitration

• Annual seminar on trading rules by NOFOTA

• In line with FOSFA course but more specific

on NOFOTA Trading Rules

• 1 day training
