Dear Customer, We as Kuehne + Nagel start an Olympic themed, Corporate Social Responsibility program named ‘Baton’. The 'Baton' has begun its journey from London in February 2014. It will pass through all of the 105 countries in which KN operates, arriving in Brazil for the start of the 2016 Summer Olympics. The ‘Baton’ will be exchanged via road/rail/air and sea freight.

During the time that the ‘Baton’ is within a particular country a charity event will be organised by the KN employees. The event and the beneficiary has been selected by local KN employees for the Netherlands. The baton progress can be followed on our website and each KN country will provide updates on their chosen charity as well as key points about their Baton Challenge. Kuehne + Nagel Business unit Technology Solutions have decided to run a relay-race ajoining all our sites within the Business unit. See page 2 for more information and planning about the relay-race.

The charity foundation: Lumahelpt Lumahelpt is founded by two travelled people who witnessed poor living conditions for African school children. The main focus of Lumahelpt is shining some light (Luma means light) on these conditions, conditions that we perceive as normal in our western world. Some activities: • Creation of two pre-schools in the township Moakeng,

Kroonstad South Africa. • Collection of clothes and toys for children.
