New Table and Chairs have been Ordered.

The club is hoping to get the canteen upgraded during July, when there is minimal football at the Oval and ready for the showpiece game against Morphett Vale in August for its unveiling.

Quiz Night:

Thank You to Everyone that came along, we had a great night raising money together.

Training Tops:

The club will advise you when they have arrived, expected shortly. On arrival they will be distributed to the coaches at training to be handed out.

No more orders are being taken, as you will not receive them until late in season.

Shorts & Socks:

Are available at the club on training nights, please see a club official for purchase. Girls shorts we are hoping to have later in the week, you will be notified of arrival.

Resources:

If you have a resource available that the club should know about please let us know, as we may be able to utilize it during the year.

CHOCOLATE BOXES MONEY NOW DUE: U17.5, U15 AND U13 please return chocolate money to your team managers. A box of chocolates all sold $50. CONCUSSION: ALL PLAYERS MUST PROVIDE A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE PRIOR TO RETURNING TO TRAINING, regardless of severity. All junior athletes will no train the week after the injury to aid in recovery and may return to training the following week with medical certificate. ROSTERS: Please be Aware all teams have helping duties rosters in 2018. Please be aware of your shift. If you cannot do your shift, please swap with someone else. Please do not leave us short as it puts pressure back on the people who always volunteer. Gate Prices: prices are set by the SFL

Medical Information:

Concussion: Any player suspected of having concussion will be removed from play and assessed. All players suspected of having concussion will be asked to seek medical attention for assessment and clearance (to be shown to team trainer).

Confirmed concussions will result in ALL U17.5 players missing the following weekend game, regardless and may gradually return to training a week after the incident. It takes approx 10 days for concussion to fully resolve. Players should not be left alone and not return to school/work until symptom free.

Reynella Football Club - Juniors Medical Advice U15 and Younger Taping: Is not recommended for players Under U15's. If your child has a genuine injury and is returning from rehabilitation - after consultation with a surgeon or physio - taping will be provided as needed or as per medical advice. If your child suffers from regular soreness, it will be advised that your child gets checked out by a professional. Your child could be playing too much sport and requires some rest and this may be the bodys’ way of telling them. Tape is expensive and will be used when required, not for I'm a bit sore. I Most of our senior players would prefer to use NO tape as they don't like the feel of it, but due to serious injuries they require it (many have had operations). Deep Heat: Should not be used on young athletes. If they think they require it, a visit to their doctor will be recommended and written instructions from that doctor will be required. Most young athletes do TOO LITTLE stretching. Stretching should be done twice daily or at least daily, as part of their regular activities to prepare them for a game or sport. Warming up the muscles with active stretching on game day will also benefit any athlete and make them responsible for their own bodies. We have stretching rollers, bands and leaflets in the change rooms on stretching that they can use. Concussion: Any Player suspected of having concussion will be removed from play and referred for assessment. Confirmed concussions will miss the following weekend games, and not allowed to return to training until after a week post incident in a gradual manner. A Dr’s clearance will need to be provided to team trainer/coach before return to training. It takes approx 10 days for 90% people to recover from concussion. Your child should not return to school until symptom free as it will delay recovery. Please Remember: our trainers are here to help, we are not Doctors and will make decisions in the best interest of the athlete and sometimes you may not like our recommendations.
