Sub :- Selection for the post of Commercial Inspector (Claims) in Level - 6 against 75% DP Quota.

1. It has been decided to hold a selection for forming a panel of 14 (fourteen) posts of Commercial Inspector (Claims) in Level - 6 by calling option from the existing Railway employees working in the specified category of Commercial department against 75% DP Quota.

2. No. of posts :- 14 (UR - 13, SC - 01 & ST - NIL)

3. Eligible Categories :- (who can apply) I. Sr. GC/CC/TRC in Level - 5.

II. Sr. Clerk of Commercial department in Level - 5. Ill. Sr. TC/TTE in Level - 5. IV. ECRC in Level - 5.

(There is no separate Quota earmarked for above categories)

4. Eligibility condition :- Existing staff working in the above categories/posts of Commercial Department of N. F. Railway with 02 (Two) years regular Railway service in the above mentioned Grade on the date of notification i.e. 14.08.2020 and are also qualified in Goods and Coaching both are only eligible to apply.

5. The post of Commercial Inspector (Claims) in Level - 6 is a General selection post. So, the selection will be done based on Written Test & record of service and the panel will be prepared strictly in the order of Merit based on Aggregate marks of 'professional ability ' and 'record of service ' subject to usual relaxation for SC/ST staff, wherever permissible. However, a candidate must secure minimum 60% marks in professional ability and 60% marks in the aggregate for being placed on the panel .

6. The Written Test will be held as per Railway Board 's L/No. E (NG)l/2018/PM 1/4 dated

14.12.2018 (100% objective paper for promotional examination to expedite and simplify

examination process) . NO ABSENTEE WRITTEN TEST WILL BE HELD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AS THE POST WILL BE FILLED UP BY CALLING OPTIONS .

7. There shall be negative marking for incorrect Answers. One-third of the marks allotted

for each question will be deducted for wrong answers.

8. As such , the application/Options in the prescribed proforma are invited from the intending candidates who will fulfil the condition mentioned above. The Willing staff may submit their option through their controlling officer before 30.09.2020. The format of the application is enclosed as Annexure "A ". While forwarding applications Sr. DPO/DPO Branch/ Controlling Officers should take a special care/note that the application must be forwarded through cadre P/Branch only after verification of details, otherwise application will be rejected . Each application should be checked and signed with designation by the P/Branch Checking authority. The applications received from the staff should reach this office (APO/Traffic/MLG) by 07.10.2020 through special messenger. Only eligible candidates out of all the optees will be called for selection . While forwarding the option the last three years ACRI APARs of the optees along with their DAR Clearance must be sent to this office.

11 . The candidature of the volunteers will be liable to be cancelled at any stage during_ finalization of the said selection in case the service particulars furnished by them are found to be not in order or if he/she is otherwise not eligible to appear in the above mentioned selection .
