Introit – O God, our Light Rollin Burkholder

O God our light, our beauty, our rest, with the appearance of your Son, You have brought us into your new creation. Form us into your people, and order our lives in You, through Christ, the living One. Amen.

Rollin Burkholder (1934-2009) was a valued member of the Yorkminster Park Choir and served as Tenor Section Lead from 2004 until 2009. This introit was written in 2002 and

is dedicated to the Rev. John Hilborn.

Announcements and Offering (2 Corinthians 9:7b-8) For God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so

that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.

Anthem – O Thou, the Central Orb Charles Wood

O Thou, the central Orb of righteous love, pure beam of the most High, eternal light of this our wintry world, thy radiance bright awakes new joy in faith; hope soars above. Come, quickly come, and let thy glory shine, gilding our darksome heaven with rays divine. Thy saints with holy lustre round thee move, as stars about thy throne, set in the height of God's ordaining counsel, as thy sight gives measured grace to each, thy power to prove. Let thy bright beams disperse the gloom of sin; our nature all shall feel eternal day, in fellowship with thee,

transforming clay to souls erewhile unclean, now pure within. Amen.
