•BAPTISMS / BAUTIZOS/ BATTESIMO Baptism are celebrated once a month on a Sunday after the 12:30 Mass in Spanish and 2:00pm in English. The dates for the Baptism of children and for the Pre-Baptismal instruction of parents should be arranged in the rectory ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE. In addition to English, and Spanish this Sacrament may also be in Italian.

•WEDDINGS/ MATRIMONIO Pre–marital instruction is a requirement for all engaged couples. Consequently, arrangements for weddings should be made SIX MONTHS in advance.

““Brothers and sisters. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”… “What more was there to do for my vineyard that I had not

done?” The two verses of scripture today provide a prescription for our prayer life, as our response for all that the Lord has done for us. What more could He have done? Out of love and concern God sent Jesus to restore a broken world, like the sour grapes, to a loving relationship with the Father. He has done everything. Now our response. Our prayer life begins with thanksgiving because of what He has and continues to do. Our prayer life consists of an ‘attitude of gratitude.’ As we discover His abiding presence with us. We need not go searching; the Lord is here, and now. The Lord wants us to ask, our petition, as we express both our need and dependence. When we approach God in prayer with joy and confidence, the fruit will be His peace. When we read what was written before, remember the words ACTS – Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving, Supplication Lord, I am aware of your goodness to me and offer myself to you.

“Amados hermanos, no se angustien por nada, y en cualquier circunstancia, recurran a la oración y a la súplica, acompañadas de acción de gracias, para presentar sus peticiones a Dios. Entonces la paz de Dios, que supera todo lo que podemos pensar, tomará bajo su cuidado los corazones y los pensamientos de ustedes en Cristo Jesús” … “¿Qué más se podía hacer por mi viña que yo no lo haya hecho?” Los dos versos de la escritura hoy proveen una descripción de nuestra vida de oración, como nuestra respuesta a todo lo que el Señor ha hecho por nosotros. ¿Qué más podría haber hecho? Por amor y preocupación, Dios nos envió a Jesús a restaurar un mundo roto parecido a uvas agrias, a una relación amorosa con el Padre. El ha hecho todo. Nos toca responder. Nuestra vida de oración comienza con agradecimiento por lo que El ha hecho y continúa haciendo. Nuestra vida de oración consiste de una actitud de agradecimiento. Al descubrir Su perdurable presencia en nosotros, no necesitamos buscar más; el Señor está aquí, ahora. El Señor desea que pidamos, y que nuestra petición exprese tanto nuestra necesidad como nuestra dependencia. Cuando nos acercamos a Dios en oración con alegría y confianza, el fruto será Su paz. Cuando leemos lo que se ha escrito, recuerde la palabra ARAS: Adoración, Remordimiento, Agradecimiento, Súplica Señor, estoy consciente de tu bondad hacia mí y me ofrezco a tí.

La parabola dei vignaioli omicidi è di un realismo tale che potremmo considerarla come una teologia della storia. L’omicidio è l’apogeo di una infedeltà continua, che nasconde naturalmente ingratitudine. È la storia dell’umanità e quella di ogni uomo, con i nostri limiti, le nostre ingiustizie, la nostra avarizia, le nostre

ambizioni. Noi reagiamo spesso così davanti al bene che riceviamo dai nostri simili. Noi agiamo spesso così davanti alla bontà di Dio. Siamo dei cattivi amministratori, che cominciano commettendo il grave errore di credersi padroni del regno e il minimo potere ci disturba, anche quello di Dio, assoluto ma non dominatore. Noi non ci troviamo al posto che dovremmo occupare, e ci piacerebbe vietare l’ingresso nel regno a coloro che vogliono entrarci. L’atteggiamento di Dio differisce completamente dal nostro. Ci ama allo stesso modo; ma non tollera che i suoi figli non mangino il pane che egli offre loro e che per di più si ostinino ad impedire agli altri di mangiarlo. Noi ci sbagliamo in tutto. E proprio quando ci sentiremo più sicuri, verremo privati dei nostri doni, perché non possediamo, anche se lo crediamo, alcuna esclusività. È necessario che scopriamo Cristo come pietra angolare dell’edificio in pietre vive che è la Chiesa, alla quale siamo stati introdotti con il battesimo. Cerchiamo con coraggio di produrre frutti per raggiungere il regno dei cieli.
