EMAIL – Office 365 Suite – How to Download from your Trident University webmail

Prerequisites

▪ Computer with enough free disk space to download

full MS Office Suite, please refer to link for specifics. ▪ Office 365 is designed to work best with Office 2016,

Office 2013, and Office 2016 for Mac. ▪ Set your password for your Trident University Email

If you have already downloaded Office 365 and verfied license using your Trident email and password, please refer to Option 3 in this document. If you want to download on your Smartphone or tablet, please refer to Option 4.

Procedure

OPTION ONE:

Download Office 365 for the first time from your Trident Email

On My TLC Portal: STUDENTS: select ‘Student email’ link or go to URL: www.outlook.com/my.trident.edu Staff/Faculty: Select ‘Faculty email’ or go to URL: webmail.trident.edu Students: www.outlook.com/my.trident.edu Staff/Faculty: www.outlook.com/trident.edu

Once you log into your Trident University Webmail, from your Mail view go to the top right corner of page and look

for the Notfication Bell Icon and select. You would then select ‘GET OFFICE’ NOTE: You can download Office 365 Office Suite on up to 5 different devices. If you have already downloaded Office 365 and verfied license using your Trident email and password, please refer to Option 3 in this document. If you want to download on your Smartphone or tablet, please refer to Option 4.

You may also get this view and in this view you can select either ‘Get Office’ OR ‘Install Software’

Follow the prompts What happens is: 1. First this will download the Office 365 Suite software

to your computer. 2. Then once software is downloaded, you will open

download and ‘RUN’ installation of the software. 3. Then you will Activate Office if prompted by entering

your Trident University email and software.

Once you have downloaded software and run the installation, open Word program. If you are asked to activate Office, then you would select Work (University) and sign in with your Trident University Email and password.

OPTION TWO:

If you do not have notification in your webmail, use this link to

download Office 365 Suite

If you do not have the above notice, copy and paste link

into your browser address bar or click on this link:

If you do not see your email account in the top right

corner of the page, log into your webmail first and then

click on link or copy and paste link into a new tab in your

browser.

Follow the prompts and log into your Trident University Webmail account

Select ‘INSTALL OFFICE’

Process: 1. First this will download the Office 365 Suite software

to your computer. 2. Then once software is downloaded, you will open

download and run installation of the software. 3. Then you will confirm license of software if prompted

by entering your Trident University email and software.

OPTION THREE:

If you have already downloaded Office 365 and want to install Office 365 on another device.

You can download Office 365 Office Suite on up to 5

different devices. If you have already downloaded Office

365 and verfied license using your Trident email, you can

log into your webmail and select ‘Settings’

‘Install’

OPTION FOUR:

Downloading Office 365 on your Smartphone or tablet

Option 4

Step 1

You can download Office 365 Office Suite on up to 5 different devices. If you have already downloaded Office 365 and verfied license using your Trident email and password

Go to your favorite app store: Google Play or ITunes are examples. You would then search for and download the application that you want, example: MS Word

Step 2

Open the application on your devices

Log in with your Trident email and password to verify/authenticate the license.

Step 3

Repeat with any additional applications that you want.
