Assumption Regional Catholic School News!
www.arcsgalloway.org – 652-7134
Dear Friends,
Peace and all good! October is the Month of the Rosary, and the children will have many opportunities during the month to recite this prayer that honors Mary, our school’s namesake!
Student success is desirous in all academic environments. We, at Assumption Regional Catholic School, feel that along with this academic performance should also come the spiritual and moral development of our learners. Furthermore, this combined growth should be formally recognized. For this academic year, we are using the Fruits of the Holy Spirit as the lens through which we view this growth. Throughout the month, teachers and students will be engaged in activities around the monthly “fruit” virtue. At the end of each month, teachers nominate students who consistently exhibited the characteristics of monthly Fruit of the Holy Spirit. For September, it was kindness. These students were faithful in acting from a place of kindness by: being a great friend, being willing to help another person, being willing to share with others, always using kind words, and putting others before oneself.
We are very excited to announce the recipients of the ARCS Fruit of the Spirit/Student of the Month Award for the month of September. They are: PreK3~Shea Horner; PreK4A~Robinson Brown and Kyle Scannell; PreK4B~Norah Martin and Avery Potkay; Kindergarten A~Jayden Contreras and Jeannesa Franck; Kindergarten B~Molly Geisenhoffer-Carbonaro and Genevieve Throckmorton; Grade 1A~Nicholas Carrera and Colton Lachapelle; Grade 1B~Gabriella Cressey and Magnus Knutson; Grade 2A~Kate O’Connor and Grace Timms; Grade 2B~Finn Connahey and Grace Napolitano; Grade 3A~Savanah Cooke, Max Mendoza and Melissa Napoli; Grade 3B~Vaughn Amalfitano, Anthony Salvati and Nicole Turchio; Grade 4A~Laura Caffrey, Kevin Podolski and Brody Saul; Grade 4B~John Kane, Michaelina Miconi and Mikayla Nash; Grade 5A~Gabriel Hessert, Holden MacNatt, and Isabelle Mendoza; Grade 5B~Christopher Barone, Jason Marcelin and Richard Ohlsen; Grade 6~Ryan Batt, Dean Grodziak, Allison Lee, Sarina Pollino and Abigail Reed; Grade 7~Shane Houck, Nicholas Maldonado, Gianna Reinhold, and Garrett Sampson; Grade 8~Julianna Bobe, Philip Docteur, Emilia Fedasz, and Melanie Groff. We are so proud of these students for their kind hearts and thank them for being witnesses to God’s love! For the month of October, our Fruit of the Holy Spirit is peace!
We are offering Level 1 CAP (Child Assault Prevention) training at ARCS on Tuesday, October 17 from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the Café. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity at school, CAP training is required in addition to fingerprinting. Those planning to attend need to register through the Office of Child and Youth Protection. You can call: 856-583-6165 or contact or contact Maryellen Schell at [email protected]. Please leave your name and session date and where you will attend. You will not receive a call back.

Stewardship Lifestyle “My God will supply whatever you need…” - PHILIPPIANS 4:19
God really does provide for those who are grateful and generous. This is very difficult for people that don’t live a Stewardship lifestyle to believe. People are skeptical and say it’s just coincidence. If you are skeptical, try living a Stewardship lifestyle for just one month – be generous with your gifts of time, talent and treasure and see how God provides for your needs.
