Transition Update: The next step in our transition is to form a search committee to find our next senior pastor. The Elders are asking RRC members to submit names for members to serve on this committee. You can pick up a letter explaining the process and qualifications and submit names through TODAY in boxes in the office and on the Info Table or by emailing Carol Meyer at [email protected].

Parables! Today from 4:30-6:00 is the last session of Brian Johnson's Parables series. Whether you've been coming or not, it's not too late to join in one last riveting tale. They'll be meeting outside in front of the church in the shade. Today they will be discussing the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Do you know where else a similar story is told in the Bible? Come this afternoon to find out. Stop by the Info Table or talk to Brian with any questions.

Men’s Book Club: The next meeting will be 6/29, 7:00am at Bostwick Bakery of Plainfield, at 4029 Plainfield Ave. We will be discussing "Undaunted Courage" by Stephen Ambrose. You can contact David Monsma at [email protected] with questions.

Women’s Book Club: The next meeting is Aug 17, 9am, at Knapps Corner Panera Bread. The Book is “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens. Questions: Pam Kloet, [email protected].

Men's Softball: All guys are invited to join the River Rock team playing in a local church league. Games are on Tuesday evenings May through August. For more info or to sign up, contact Brant Bender at [email protected] or stop by the Info Table.

Student Ministry Director Position: This past year the Student Ministry Director, Bobby Moore, started seminary full-time. Because of this, Bobby dropped down to part-time at River Rock. The volunteers stepped up tremendously over the past year but there is a clear need to hire another part-time person to partner with Bobby. River Rock would like to hire a part-time Student Ministry Director. Job descriptions are available at the Info Table today. If you would like to apply or know of someone who would, please visit our website for a job description at riverrockcommunity.com. Resumes are due by July 14.

Giving: As a reminder, you may go on-line to the welcome page at www.RiverRockCommunity.com as an easy way to set-up on-line giving. With questions, you may contact the office.

Town Hall Meeting: Join us Sunday, TODAY for a town hall meeting where the Elders will share the vision of adding Deacons to the River Rock leadership structure. You can pick up proposed draft job descriptions for the new Deacon role and revised Elder role at the Info Table today. The Elders will share the vision and time line for the two roles and listen to feedback from the congregation.

Summer of Psalms: This summer, you are invited to join others at River Rock reading through the book of Psalms. Each week, a different list of Psalms will be provided to you to read daily. Booklets with all of the week's readings are available for pick up at River Rock on Sundays. Questions on the Summer of Psalms? Contact Cameron Warne.

2019 Church Directory Updates Are Available: Pick up in the church office during the week and at the Info Table on Sundays. Please contact Jan Wierenga at [email protected] if you’d like to be added or have a change for the next printing.
