One of the most difficult moments is ahead so get both flags out and wave them as two teams face each other for knock out match. The good thing is this match will be telecast live through Free to Air TV so everyone can enjoy. ANNUAL REPORT 2014 The annual report is in progress as both Fatima and Maria complete their sections. During last two weeks we have also held discussions with individual members to identify issues that need action and will help us to develop a roadmap for 2015. PROPOSED SCHEDULE OF EVENTS April is an important day for both Australia and Pakistan as the last week marks Remembrance day. As ANZAC centenary is marked by events across Australia, 30 th April is the day when Pakistani nation remembers those who have sacrificed their lives for us. This will be special as we are still mourning the lives of 152 lives lost in the massacre on 16 th December 2014. Please save the date. The other proposed events this year are May: Australia’s biggest morning tea 01 st June is the Kite festival in collaboration with Desi WA marking “celebrate WA day”. Venue TBC. 19 th July is Eid event titled: Pakistan seen, felt and heard. Venue to be confirmed. September Telethon event November Senior’s Week event Finally few tickets are available for 21 st March so please get them urgently today. Remember kids under 12 are free but we need to know the number beforehand.

    ENGAGEMENTS

    Last two weeks have been busy as we celebrated International Womens Day and then on Saturday Harmony week celebrations were launched. International Womens Day started with the flower sent by Hon. Andrea Mitchell, Member for Kingsley. Hon. Liza Harvey launched the new State Government scholarship program to encourage women into trade and industry areas with low female participation. This program targets women over 18 who have left school and are thinking about training in a non-traditional trade or industry, you may qualify for a State Government scholarship. One hundred scholarships will be available in the first year of the program.

    These scholarships will provide new opportunities for women to carry out training in a range of trade and industry areas including agriculture, automotive, aviation, construction, food, electrical, engineering, maritime and telecommunications. Either women or employers can apply for the scholarships. There are around 180 approved qualifications linked to non-traditional occupations, across many industries, to choose from.     This event was followed by attendance at Hall of Fame event hosted at the Governors House.
