VERSE

Luke 18:17

THANK YOU Charlotte and I want to express our thanks and appreciation to Pastor Grant for his prayers, hospital and home visitations. Also, the Mary-Martha Circle for their prayers and a special "lapghan" gift. Thanks also to those who offered up prayers, sent cards and/or gifts, and made visits after my hip revision surgery. ~ Sam & Char Williams

LOVE INC BENEFIT DINNER

The Love INC (In the Name of Christ) Fall Fundraising Banquet is being held Thursday, October 19, at Attica’s New Life Christian Church. Organizers are asking local churches to make baked goods for this event. They hope to have each church “group” their desserts together in order to set up a friendly competition amongst the local churches.

If you would like to attend the dinner, please look at the flyer on the Lobby Bulletin Board. If you would be willing to bake, please contact Kathy Dawley at 810-797-4960.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

What a wonderful UMW meeting we had on Monday, September 11! A very thought-provoking program for our Call to Prayer & Self Denial was developed by Carolyn Elzerman, our Spiritual Growth Coordinator. Carolyn was unable to attend so Debi Lobb did the presentation. It was entitled “Four Week Word Fast: Complaining, Criticism, Judgments, Gossip”. If you would like more information about this very intriguing program, please talk to Carolyn or Debi. It’s not too late to participate and you WILL grow in your understanding of negativity and turning it around for your growth, both personally and with our Lord!

The Blue Water District UMW 2017 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in Sandusky. Please prayerfully consider attending. It is only $10 and all monies should be given to our treasurer, Beth Exelby as soon as possible. The deadline for registration is October 1, 2017. We will likely carpool from the church.
