To set new standards in the future, we have invested in a fully automated high rack storage for wire rope reels, linked with modern manufacturing facilities for the fabrication of wire ropes. The system is unique in its kind and has a total storage capacity of over 1600 steel reels.

Tensile test facility with a capacity of up to 6000 kN to determine the breaking force of the cable system. Tension fatigue tests on these systems can also be made.

Not only the usual catalog values such as weight and minimum breaking load determine the wire rope property. PFEIFER is analyzing all properties of the wire rope with extensive tests.

Equipped with this knowledge we can choose the optimum wire rope for your application.

Pouch socket systems for the fast and easy re-reeving of your crane rope.

Through multi-strand rope systems very high breaking forces can be trans-ferred by keeping a high flexibility.

Cast open and closed spelter sockets, pressed thimbles with clevis, and solid thimbles, allow for easy connection of rope assemblies.

Customer consultancy and after sales service – rope and spooling analyzation

Rope supply and after sales service from one sourceTo achieve the best possible performance and product life in your application, the selection of the correct type of rope for the job is a must.

The members of our rope application team in our sub-sidiaries provide this expertise and are routinely trained in our headquarters in Memmingen. PFEIFER defines a stringent test curriculum for our products. The results of which are stored in our central database. Test data and information about crane specific requirements are pro-vided to our teams around the world seamlessly.

Typical structural damages on ropes in crossover sections of multi-layer winches.

Damaged ropes are analysed in order to find out the reason for the dama-ges.
