1. Photo editing processBy Stephanie Caldecott 2. This is an original image which Ichose from a selection of potentialphotos to use as the central image formy poster. I took the pictures in blackand white mode to make it easierchange the colours of the image.I used the paintbrush tool onPhotoshop to white out the eyes ofthe two boys on my picture. I did thisto create the possessed look whichis a generic convention of theunnatural horror subgenre. 3. I then created a new layer andused to paint bucket tool to put abrown colour over the layer. Afterthis, I changed the opacity from100% to 50% to create a sepiaeffect over my image. To give my picture an old, wornout, antique look, I found a scratchybackground design and lowered theopacity. I then layered it over myimage to add the scratched effect. 4. I then decided to look at thesimpler photo-editing tools thatWeebly offered, and found a fadeeffect which I applied to my imagefrom the bottom upwards. After applying the fade effect, Iliked the look of the image butfelt it was a bit dark. To make thepicture lighter, I applied theWeebly antique colouring effectwhich worked on my picture. 5. To create the burnt, faded boarderaround the central image of the twofaces, I used the burn tool with blackcolouring to blend in with the blackbackground. To create the intense colouring of the central image, I used the curves tool to change the contrast and saturation of the image.I also used the burn tool randomlyon different parts of the centralimage to make the picture lookolder and damaged in relation to theold, damaged town of Woodwich.
