The New York City Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce is a place where business and community
become one. Our mission is to represent and advocate for
Hispanic Businesses in New York City in a cohesive and
collective manner. We work on assuring the success
of Hispanic businesses and the community they
serve. Our dedicated team is comprised of thinkers,
planners, and “doers” that are passionate about the
economic growth and development of the Hispanic
community. Our motto at the New York City Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce is “Paving the Way to Economic
Development."
We believe that the only way to achieve this is by mobilizing the Hispanic businesses and
the Community we serve. We are excited to elevate our community to greater heights by offering
membership benefits that serves a mutually beneficial purpose. The popular favorite is that as a
member, you will have access to all networking events to help grow your business or organization.
We’ll always keep you updated on what’s going on with our members, job opportunities within our
member network, and relevant community news through our bi-weekly e-newsletters and on social
media. What sets us apart is our official weekly newspaper La Voz Hispana with a circulation of
60K within the five boroughs. This vehicle allows us to spotlight and introduce our members to the
Hispanic Community within the five boroughs.
The New York City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce also believes in supporting higher
education, we do this by working with our members to provide scholarship awards of 2K for
Hispanic CUNY Students that find themselves in hard economic times. We do this every
December during our Annual Business Banquet and Scholarship Award Ceremony. There is no
reason why finances should get in the way of education. We welcome all businesses to join us in
our efforts to raise the bar of the Hispanic businesses and the community we serve.
Respectfully,
Nick Lugo

: The NYC Hispanic Chamber of Commerce believes in the potential of our Community. The Empowerment and Leadership Development seminar is focused on encouraging entrepreneurs, business owners, and students to take on challenges with tenacity and courage. As an organization where connecting, networking and building working relationships is essential, the key is in understanding ourselves and others as people. We partnered with Global Transformational leader, Celebrity coach- Speaker & Author Karen Hoyos, Karen is considered one of the most influential leaders in the area of personal development. Our first empowerment seminar was held on February 4, 2015 at La Guardia Community college. We will work on partnering with colleges in the Bronx and Manhattan.

We engage and attract new members via our signature and one of a kind networking gatherings. Our networking events are done in partnership with an existing member or potential one and utilizing our resources. The atmosphere is lively as members contribute to a unique and inviting experience. When most people think of networking events, they think of a means to an end - a platform by which to promote themselves to other compatible business owners and pursue lucrative employment opportunities. All of which does happen, but our networking event have proven to be much more than that. Our goal is to cultivate long lasting relationships and to create connections, promote each other, and advance the mutual interest of partners within the community.

MADE IT IN NEW YORK Networking Cocktail Reception (Target M18-40): The NYCHCC is looking to partner a partner to work on our first themed Networking Event entitled MADE IT in New York. The NYCHCC is looking to highlight Hispanic gentlemen with inspiring stories of success and how they MADE IT in New York. As the cliché states “if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere.” These gentlemen are cool, edgy, and relatable and serve as role models for the Hispanic Community. The plan is to find three gentlemen and recognize the accomplishments during a networking cocktail reception. It will close the generation gap and highlight the new upcoming generation of leaders.
