As per Building Regulations 2000, internal manhole/access covers can incorporate single ordouble seals. The long standing T-Range provide a sealed, screw-down solution which is bothsecure and odour preventative.

Common applications include conservatories, basements, patios and generally any indoorroom where liquids aren’t a concern (N.B. see Aquaknights for a water tight option).

This wide selection of recessed covers are suitable for any external domestic area thanks to their10 tonne loading capacity and varied depths. Trays can be built up with screed or concrete priorto the surface product being applied, whether flagstones, block paving, tarmac or similar.

Common applications include driveways for domestic vehicles and patios. For grassed areas werecommend using a GrassTop, allowing water to pass through and grass to grow. EcoGrid coversare ideal for gravel filled installations to reduce movement of the surface material.

Thanks to the 38 tonne load bearing capacity, the HD collection can withstand the weight ofarticulated vehicles (N.B. for forklifts a higher grade of cover must be used due to the differencein solid and pneumatic wheels).

Common applications include housing estates, roads, car parks, warehouses (without forklift).

GrassTop and EcoGrid Manhole Covers are unique to EcoGrid Ltd and its sister companies,Recessed Manhole Covers and Geotextile Membranes. The problem of solid top or recesseddrain covers ruining lawns and gardens has been apparent for decades, but in recent yearsEcoGrid have developed a solution.

Unlike regular recessed covers, GrassTops incorporate pre-drilled drainage holes which allowrainwater to drain through naturally. Combined with a double layer of specialist membranes,this water is filtered and grass will grow inside the tray. The covers can also be filled with other materialssuch as rubber crumb, artificial turf, decorative gravels or any porous surfacing product.

Although bespoke, these products will typically be on site within three working days. A total ofthirteen different variations are available as standard, whilst special sizes can be manufacturedon demand.

Developed on the basis of the GrassTop, EcoGrid manholecovers are ideal for gravel driveways and paths, as well asgrassed parking areas.

Generally, gravel in normal recessed trays will move andspread under foot or tyre. However, compacted into theEcoGrid this no longer becomes an issue.
