Energy saving convenience Instantaneous water heaters from STIEBEL ELTRON provide a convenient, decentralised supply of domestic hot water wherever needed. The DCE H compact instantaneous water heater for oversink installation is a case in point. Equipped with 3i technology, it provides warm or hot water using a particularly energy efficient method in utility rooms such as washrooms or garages or in commercial settings.

The temperature can be variably adjusted between 20 and 60 °C using a rotary selector directly on the appliance. This attractive oversink unit also features anti-scalding protection which allows the temperature to be limited to 43 °C. A further advantage is that the water is heated directly at the point of use – excluding the possibility of any thermal losses in cylinder or pipework. Installed as a set, the DCE H compact instantaneous water heater and the MEKD mono-lever wall-mounted tap with pivoting spout make an unbeatable combination.

Note: This appliance can also be used with a rated voltage of 380 V or 415 V.

Heating and cooling with energy from the environment This inverter air | water heat pump with combined enhanced vapour/saturated vapour injection is ideally suited to heating and cooling. The compact external unit ensures very quiet operation and the inverter compressor ensures that the system works with great efficiency. The enhanced vapour/saturated vapour injection cools the scroll compressor at low outside temperatures, enabling a higher heating output to be achieved. The bi-directional electronic expansion valve with separate control unit and switching helps to optimise overheating control and therefore improve the COP. The WPL 15/25 AC(S) allows not only mono mode heating operation and DHW heating, but also the use of photovoltaic power generated on site.

Efficiency with a wide range of optionsWWK 221/301 electronic (SOL) DHW heat pumps are outstandingly efficient and offer excellent levels of DHW convenience. These compact appliances are designed to supply several draw-off points. As part of the WWK electronic range, they have all of the premium benefits that are standard for this series, including classification in the highest energy efficiency class for DHW heat pumps, applicable from September 2015, and extremely quiet operation.

A contact integrated as standard allows connection to a photovoltaic system* or another external signal transmitter. This appliance also features a user-friendly electronic control unit with LCD, with functions that include the display of the currently available energy content as a mixed water volume at 40 °C. Particularly high quality components such as a rollbond safety condenser and a maintenance-free impressed current anode also ensure high reliability and lasting high efficiency for users. At the same time these components save costs by eliminating the need for regular anode checks / anode replacement.

Choice of air routesThe other benefit of the WWK 221/301 electronic (SOL) is that these DHW heat pumps operate just as well in recirculation air mode as in air duct mode. For example, waste heat from the environment or another room can be used, often at no cost. The cooled exhaust air can also be used for temporary cooling of a utility room. In air duct mode, outdoor air can be used as an energy source. The low application limit of -8 °C allows heat pump operation even at low intake temperatures.

The WWK 221/301 electronic (SOL) models are also highly flexible in terms of their installation and arrangement in the installation room. The appliances air routing and duct connections can be either horizontal, vertical or a combination of both. Very high externally available pressure allows connection of air ducts with a length of up to 20 or 40 m.

WWK 300 electronic SOL

An energy efficiency class of its ownThe WWK 300 electronic SOL is a further addition to the high efficiency WWK 220/300 electronic compact series. It has an integral smooth tube indirect coil, to which an existing heating system or solar thermal system can be hydraulically connected.

The WWK 300 electronic SOL also offers all the benefits to be found throughout the series, such as outstanding efficiency, very high DHW convenience, compact dimensions, quiet operation, PV compatibility*, maintenance-free impressed current anode, integral sensor control, rollbond safety condenser and the possibility of brief horizontal transport. In the SOL version, the extremely well insulated integral DHW cylinder is equipped with two sensor wells, one in the upper and one in the lower section. These can be used for individual connection of the external heat generator.

All appliances in this series already comply with the requirements for classification in the top energy efficiency class A+, which will apply from 2017 according to the European ErP standard.

Compact series with small footprintCompact WWK 222/302 (H) heat pumps are designed to centrally supply domestic hot water to several draw-off points (detached or two-family houses) and are especially suited to outdoor siting, although they can of course also be installed indoors. They feature a cylinder with first-rate insulation, outstanding efficiency, very quiet operation, and an extremely space-saving and attractive design. All versions meet the requirements of the very demanding XL draw-off profile to EN 16147 and achieve top ratings according to the energy efficiency classes for DHW heat pumps applicable from September 2015. These appliances are preset for efficient heat pump operation at a hygienic DHW temperature of 62 °C. Particularly high quality components such as a rollbond safety condenser and a maintenance-free impressed current anode also ensure high reliability and lasting high efficiency for users, while at the same time reducing bills by eliminating the need for regular anode checks / anode replacement.

Using air as an energy sourceThe WWS 20 DHW heat pump is ideal in combinations with cylinders in the SBB Trend range or other suitable external DHW cylinders*. The STIEBEL ELTRON 200/500 l inlet pipe accessory is used for this.

The hydraulic split design, coupled with the wall mounting support included in the standard delivery, simplifies installation and allows flexible positioning in the installation room. The cylinders in the SBB Trend range can also be combined with a second heat generator and/or a solar thermal system. By connecting an air duct to the WWS 20, waste heat from an adjacent room can be used for DHW heating. The colder exhaust air generated during operation can also be used, for example to keep an adjacent utility room cool. The electronic control unit with clearly arranged LCD allows convenient operation of the WWS 20 at all times.

* Please note that not every DHW cylinder can be combined with WWS 20. Furthermore, STIEBEL ELTRON accessories might be required for the installation.

Impressive new standardsThe strengths of the DHW cylinders in the SBBE range really come into their own in private homes, such as detached or two-family houses. The SBBE range takes DHW cylinders to a whole new dimension. The standby losses of the current range, which were already low, have been almost halved. This series does more than just meet the Ecodesign and energy labelling requirements for DHW cylinders – it sets new standards of its own. The 300 and 400 litre DHW cylinders carry an energy efficiency class A label. The high standards of these appliances in terms of energy use also extend to their visual appeal. They have been adapted to match the style and colour of the heat pumps. Optional add-ons such as booster heaters can be ”concealed“ thanks to the designer fascia with adjustable depth. A digital temperature and status display offers added user convenience. A maintenance-free impressed current anode provides additional protection for the enamelled cylinder.

These cylinders are designed for the use of renewables, in combination with STIEBEL ELTRON heat pumps. The SBBE 401-501 WP SOL models can also be combined with solar thermal systems.

Integral cylinder HSBC 200 (S) – half the space, fast installation

Multiple functions on the smallest footprintUnlike the classic version with two separate cylinders side-by-side, the HSBC 200 (S) has the DHW and buffer cylinder arranged one above the other. This almost halves the footprint, allowing installation in very tight spaces and saving floor space. With its 100 litre buffer cylinder, 200 litre (gross volume) DHW cylinder and large heat transfer surface area, this appliance marries compactness and functionality very successfully. Further benefits include a high level of integration and a high degree of preassembly. After positioning, the only connections that need to be made are the hydraulic connections for DHW, heat pump and heating circuit, so rapid installation is guaranteed. All working parts are easily accessed by removing the front cover, making the appliance very easy to install and service. For installation in very tight spaces, the integral cylinder can be separated into a buffer and cylinder module, then reassembled into a single unit.

HSBB 3 (S)

Always well integratedCompact positioning is becoming increasingly important in both new build and modernisation projects. With its HSBB  3  (S) cylinder and hydraulic module for indoor installation, STIEBEL ELTRON has developed a cylinder that is ideal in combination with our air | water heat pumps. Thanks to the high level of integration of many of its components and an inbuilt DHW cylinder, this appliance has an extremely small footprint.

As well as a high efficiency circulation pump for central heating and DHW heating, other components integrated in the appliance include a multifunction assembly with safety valve, quick-action air vent valve and a multi stage electric emergency/booster heater. The unit is controlled using the integral WPM 3 heat pump controller with backlit symbols and plain text display. DHW heating is easily regulated via a freely adjustable seven-day program with time and temperature values. The outstanding features of the HSBB 3 (S) cylinder and hydraulic module are rounded off by an adjustable heat-up program and fully automatic, weather-compensated heating system control.

For a warm ambianceThe heated glass surfaces of the RHB, RHW and RHM series of appliances look good anywhere in the living space, hallway or bathroom. Not only do these slimline, stylishly wall-mounted designer heaters look great, they also emit thermal energy directly in the form of radiant heat. This form of heat emission feels very pleasant because it hardly creates any air turbulence. These radiant heaters are ideal for booster heating or during spring and autumn. They allow you to create particularly warm areas in the home without having to turn up the main heating system. The heaters can be installed very easily either horizontally or vertically by just one person.

Electric underfloor heating thermofloor – a new high in bathroom comfort

Rapid floor heating in the bathroomThese floor mats warm up areas that are cold underfoot and are mainly used in bathrooms under ceramic floor tiles. The self-adhesive fabric mesh makes installation easier because the mat does not slip when the floor covering is applied. The mat can also be adapted easily in rooms with odd angles. The FTB has been exclusively developed for the special demands of level tiled shower areas. All heating mat models are used independently of the main heating system and respond instantly to every temperature demand. They therefore provide a lot of added comfort.

Everything controlled to the minuteThis electronic 2-point room temperature controller exclusively designed for concealed installation is equipped with a replaceable frame. It can therefore be integrated into a range of surface mounted switches. It also features a large LCD. An internal clock in the RTU-S UP Stiebel® allows setting of complete seven-day programs. Temperatures and day assignment can be adjusted individually. Programming is via 4 touch keys with user prompts. Automatic calculation of the heat-up time ensures that heat is always provided at the right time.

Convenient and flexible customisationThe SRC C digital is a wall-mounted wireless temperature controller offering flexible operation for room temperature capture and intuitive seven-day programming of the heating appliance. It captures and controls the temperature wherever needed. This appliance is battery powered. It is suitable for retrofitting, because no complex wiring is required, making it perfect for modernisation. There is a selection of different transmitters and receivers for all applications, which can be freely combined with each other. The programming unit can be combined with one or more different receivers. At least one wireless receiver from our range of accessories is required.
