I am to refer to your Application under RTI Act, 2005 dated 16.03.2015 (received in this office on 24.03.2015) and

to inform you that the result of Constable (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2013 declared

on 22.04.2014, was revised by the Commission due to some discrepancies found in the said result. The Commission

published a revised result on 30.05.2014. According to the revised result published by the Commission the post wise cut off

marks for Unreserved category candidates for the state of Bihar under Vacancy Type – Naxal Affected District was as under:

2. You have secured 60 marks in total in the written part of the said examination and submitted a domicile certificate

according to which your state of domicile is Bihar. Since you could not secure more than or equal to the cut off marks for

the Commission on 30.05.2014. Hence the question of your appointment to the post of Constable (GD) does not arise.

no.36034/1/2014-Estt (Res) dated 14.08.2014 has not been implemented in respect of the candidates of

14.08.2014 (as per para 5 of the O.M) which is well after the date of publication of Notice and closing date of

receipt of applications of the said examination.

to furnish you the following seriatim reply:

a) As per the write up of the revised result of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2013 published by the

Commission on 25.03.2015, the cut off marks fixed for the posts of Tax Assistant in CBDT and Tax Assistant in

CBEC are 377.25 and 372.50 respectively for the category to which the applicant belongs (OBC). The applicant,

Shri Sujoy Kumar Nandi (Roll no. 4410005377) secured total 380 marks in written part of the examination which is

above the cut off marks fixed for the above mentioned two posts. However, the percentage of mistakes made by the

applicant in DEST is 9.27978 which is higher than the qualifying cut off fixed for the above posts pertaining to

OBC category (7%).

b) The applicant has not been declared finally selected for any of the above mentioned two posts.

c) Though the applicant secured marks above the cut off marks fixed in written part of the examination, his percentage

of error in DEST was more than that allowed by the Commission for being selected to the posts under reference.

Hence he has not been declared as qualified. Since qualifying in DEST is a pre-requisite for final selection for the

post of Tax Assistant, he has not , therefore, been declared as finally selected for the posts of Tax Assistant.

d) A copy of your application has been forwarded the SSC (Headquarters), New Delhi vide this office letter of even

no. dated 21.04.2015 for providing you the information sought at point no. (d) of your RTI application as this office

is not the custodian of the requisite information. A copy of the said letter has also been endorsed to you.

e) The applicant committed more percentage of mistakes in DEST (9.27978) than the permissible limit (7%) fixed by

the Commission. Hence he has not been considered as qualified in the said type test.

dossiers of selected candidates to indenting departments, (3)

Nomination (deals with erstwhile Nomination cases since

Nomination has now been done away with), (4) Recruitment ( deals

with matters of Selection Posts), (5) Legal(deals with Litigation and

RTI Cases), (6) Cash& Accounts(deals with Cash & Accounts

matters of this Regional Office), and (7) Administration (deals with

General Administration and Establishment matters). It is also to
