Dear Madam/Sir, I have received a letter dated 27th November, 2019 with File No. 9/3-Misc/2018-Rectt. stating that my candidature, for the post of Botanical Assistant ( Post Category No. ER10418) under Phase-VI/2018/Selection Posts, has been rejected during document verification process for the ground- EQ not as per RR. My Roll No. for the above stated examination was 2863012891. The EQ attached to the post mentioned above was M.Sc. Degree in Botany/Agriculture/Horticulture/ Forestry from a recognised University. I had submitted all necessary documents to back my claim of being the holder of a M. Sc. degree in Botany. Based on that my name had appeared on the Tentative EQ Accept List and I also received a mail asking me to report for document verification at the Nizam Palace on 3rd October, 2019. During the document verification my documents were checked and duly signed by a Madam. I was neither given any negative feedback nor any questions were risen on my qualifications and the documents provided to validate them like it was done in case of some other students whose documents were erroneous. Hence, the arrival of the above mentioned letter at my doorstep today was extremely perplexing. I have received my M. Sc. degree from the University of Hyderabad which is one of the top 10 universities in the country and is also a Central University. My degree was in Plant Biology and Biotechnology and an Equivalence Certificate was issued by competent University authorities stating that the degree is on par with UGC recommended syllabus for M. Sc. Botany in all Central and state Universities across the country. This Equivalence Certificate is accepted across various Universities and government departments throughout the country given that it is issued by one of the top-tier universities in the country. I have attached both my M. Sc. degree and Equivalence Certificate for your kind perusal. I would be highly obliged if you could let me know as to why this discrepancy arose despite me submitting all the relevant documents. I would really like answers to as to why my candidature is being rejected despite no fault on my part. With regards, Sweta Basu.

The Advertisement notice clearly indicates the date of commencement of examination. Now after almost two months, same is being declared invalid. The M.Sc. course of Life Sciences in Presidency University was created by merging six pre-existing Departments of Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology following similar postgraduate courses undertaken at several Indian (e.g Jawaharlal Nehru University) and foreign Universities. This course ensures studying all the branches of life sciences including classical Botany and Zoology with a holistic approach for Modern Biological trends and relevance to the highly interconnected branches of Biology. The students holding the degree Life Sciences from our department have always been considered at similar platforms as equivalent candidates as the syllabus is considerably similar to that of the previous curriculum of the respective subject. Furthermore, our Vice Chancellor had assured of the same after the students had contacted the state government few years ago. I have scored 81.50% marks in Secondary, 81.80% marks in Higher Secondary, 85.60% marks in Graduation and 83.20% marks in Post Graduation. I have qualified the CSIR common National Eligibility Test in Life Sciences two times. It is highly unlikely that I would not have the required knowledge and expertise for this post and grieves me deeply that after such dedication to this subject, my desire to serve the government and people through working in my own field would get rejected.

But it has been found that there was more than 12000 key depression per hour given. Since the Skill test of SSC CHSL 2017 conducted successfully and according to Notification there will be 10500 key depression per hour i.e 1750 key depression in 10 min to be typed to qualify in it. But there were more than 2000 key depression in the matter during skill test examination. Sir please provide me information that if a candidate typed more than 2000 key depression in the given time then the accuracy percentage will be calculated on first 1750 key depression or on the total key depression typed by him which is more than 2000 key depression.
