No. ER-02/2017, CUT OFF MARKS FOR DOCUMENT VERIFICATION & CUT OFF MARKS FOR FINAL SELECTION etc. WILL BE PUBLISHED SEPARATELY. Document verification for the provisionally eligible candidates of the above examination in respect of Staff Selection Commission, Eastern Region was held during Ninth to Eleventh November, 2017 . During the document verification, one candidate namely Ms. Ranjita Shaw failed to produce original documents and her candidature was cancelled. Another candidate, namely Mamata Kumari Goswami failed to produce the requisite documents in support of their OBC caste status and therefore considered as UR. However, while considering as UR She found over aged and hence not found eligible. Further Eight more candidates, namely Rakesh Krishan, Iti Srivastava, Anjali Shaw, Ajit Toppo, Chandreyee Ghosh, Shweta Gupta, Manisha Sharma and Shreya Karmakar were found lacking in essential qualification as on First January 2017 and their candidature were cancelled. This office does not compile any list of candidates whose candidature has been cancelled along with reason for cancellation as part of the record. However, subsequent to document verification in November,2017, a clarification was received from SSC, HQ on Thirty First May, 2018 regarding educational qualifications of the candidates for the Combined Recruitment of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Pradhyapak Examination , 2017. In the light of the said clarification, the documents furnished by the candidates during the document verification were scrutinized again with reference to the essential/ educational Qualification associated with different posts under the Combined Recruitment of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Pradhyapak Examination , 2017. (ii) Your letter No. 3/23/2017- Exam/3592 dated. 21.08.2018 Sir, With reference to the above mentioned subject, I, Priya Shaw (4410002177), would like to draw your kind attention towards the facts contained under the notification of JHT, 2017 published vide your letter No.3/3/2017-P&P-II dated. 15.04.2017, the eligibility for educational condition for Post Code-F on the basis of Bachelors degree is as under:- Master degree of a recognised university in Hindi or English with Hindi or English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level. OR Bachelors degree with Hindi & English as main subjects (which includes the term compulsory & elective). Note:- Candidate must ensure that they have studied English & Hindi as main subjects in all the three years of BA Pass Course.(Refer to notification issued vide letter No. 3/3/2017-P&P-II dated. 15.04.2017 at serial No. 7. 2. As per notification, I, Priya Shaw (4410002177), am to say that, I have completed BA (Hindi Hons.) with English as elective subject. As per university rules a candidate who is persuing Hons. Course has to study elective subjects till the second year only. 3. In view of the above conditions as notified earlier in the notification, I found myself eligible for the said post. But, after the publication of final result of JHT 2017, I was not recommended for appointment to the post of JHT after setting 309.75 marks 159.75 marks in paper-1 at serial no. 8001 in list and 150 marks in paper-2 at serial no. 1762 which is beyond lowest cut off marks i.e. 305.00 marks for OBC category candidate. As such, I have submitted an RTI requested through online vide registration No. SSCOM/R/2018/54878 on 17.06.2018 and a reply is received on 20.06.2018 that as per record, Roll No. 4410002177 has been rejected in document verification from you regional office. After that, I have received a letter No. 3/23/2017-Exam/3592 dated 21.06.2018 issued from SSC (ER) in which it is mentioned that on the basis of Bachelors degree, the falling clarification regarding educational qualification was subsequently received from SSC (HQ) vide letter No. 3-3/2018 P&p-II dated 31.05.2018, which is as under:- The candidates must have studied English & Hindi as main subjects in all three years of BA Pass Course/B.A (Hons) Course. 4. It is pertinent to mention here that, in earlier notification which was published vide letter No. 3/3/2017-P&P-II dated. 15.04.2017, the word BA pass course was mentioned only. But in new order the word BA (Hons) is added. It may be noted that BA pass course and BA(Hons) differs from each other. A Honours course persuing candidate can not study English & Hindi till the final year of the course as in last year only Honours subject has to be studied. Hence, it is not possible for Honours course persuing candidate to be studied.
