A wonderful tradition of Advent which encourages us to remember the Family Tree. This is the name throughout the Old Testament concerning the Birth of His only Son… Jesse, the father of the great King David of Israel of the Old Testament, is looked upon as the first per-son in the genealogy of Jesus. Some of the most im-portant promises of all were made to Jesse and to his son David, most importantly the promise that God’s only Son would be born into their family. Symbols of the Old Testament ancestor of Jesus fill the tree. Take an ornament from the tree, return the item with the ornament attached to the gift and place under the tree. All donations will be given to the Volunteers of America. Deadline is De-cember 20th. God Bless You!

Because of the closure of the Diocese and many parishes at Christmas, we ask you to consider purchasing a table before Christmas, if you have not yet done so. You can do that in a couple of ways. Done this way the tick-ets will be mailed to you on the day of their purchase. If you wish to do so, you may still send your check to the Dio-cese, requesting a table.

Adult Confirmation

When one receives the Sacrament of Confir-mation, the Confirmation name is spoken and the Bishop puts Chrism Oil on the person’s forehead, says their name aloud, and then says, “Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spir-it”. The person responds, “Amen”. Meaning, I do believe that I have received the gift of the Holy Spirit to enjoy its fruits and share it with others.

Adult Confirmation classes will begin Sun-day, January 17th at 5:30pm, in the CCD Hall. Please call the church office to register or you can register when you come. Any questions please call Keith Ellender at 528-0009.
