Il ne lui reste plus qu’à mettre tout cela en ordre…

Et voilà !

- Mais !!!  Tu l’écoutes,  mon histoire ?!!

HI COUSINBoris’s younger cousin, Alice, is spending the afternoon at the house. Boris’s mother makes him promise to be nice, which he accepts without complaining. But how should he react when she starts damaging his toys and messing up the garden? Fortunately, Boris has his own solution to the problem, which makes the problem go away: nobody can resist a Boris kiss!

I’M ONE YEAR OLD + ONE YEAR + ONE YEAR + ONE YEARToday, Boris is celebrating his fourth birthday. And for Boris being one + one + one + one = cake + cake + cake + cake + present + present + present + present. After assembling the four sections of Roger the robot that his parents off ered him. Boris learns to count with his new intelligent toy, a toy as sarcastic as he is. His other toys are distraught.

AGENT XYZFrédéric BélonieThe whole world wants to enlist the services of the master of disguise, agent XYZ. On this assignment, however, he forgets the most important thing: his suitcase. Fortunately to save the mission and his reputation, the intrepid spy has other tricks up his sleeve. What if he asked his fellow aircraft passengers to help him to disguise himself? He could borrow a

moustache from one guy and a hat from another. But will he be able to remember later who gave him what?

CROCSTerkel Pandolfo-RisbjergHere’s one mouse who doesn’t know the meaning of “fear”: in the process of escaping the crocodile who wants to devour her, she stops mid-chase and tells him wild and wonderful stories and hence distracts his attention. The more µµrocambolesque stories the croc hears the sleepier he feels and he fi nally falls asleep. It’s the perfect chance for the mouse to escape, but

the mouse doesn’t seize the occasion. “How dare you fall asleep? Are you trying to tell me my stories aren’t interesting?” But by yelling and shouting this way, she obviously ends up waking the predator up!

By Mathis

Boris is a cute, funny little bear with a tough character. He loves playing with toys and he loves teasing them. He may be

a stubborn, mischievous, adorable and quick-tempered young soul but never boring. Boris the Bear is the perfect companion

little children never knew they needed!

THE BEST BOOK FOR LEARNING HOW TO DRAW A COWHélène Rice & Ronan BadelAll the instructions children will need to learn to draw a cow, stage-by-stage: legs, tail, head and teeth. Uh oh! Don’t panic! The book also gives instructions of what to do if your cow ends up looking dangerously like a crocodile. And what’ll happen if the creature then leaps out of the page to gobble up its illustrator? Time to get the eraser out. A delightfully madcap picture book in which we learn how learning to draw a cow can be more complicated than it seems, and even quite dangerous.

JULIE WITH A SHADOW OF A BOYChristian Bruel & Anne BozellecAn attractive new edition of the extraordinary picture book, a landmark in children’s literature, fi rst published forty years ago, which tackles a theme as contemporary as ever. “You are unbearable! You’re always saying wicked things, always falling over, and always up to mischief.’ Julie’s parents spend so much time reproaching her for being a tomboy that one morning her shadow turns into the shadow of a boy, who mimics and cari-catures her every move. At fi rst she fi nds her alter-ego amusing, but eventually she starts doubting her own identity. But how do you get rid of a shadow that isn’t your own?

TINECécile GambiniIt’s raining today. Ideal weather for battling monsters. Raised by a thunder-mother, Tine draws, sings with the canaries and purrs with the cats. But she’s let herself get soften. Griefette, Miserelle and Suff erine have been making her life a pain for far too long! One by one, Tine sorts them out. And on one fi nal wild night of revelry, they fi nally leave to haunt someone else. A sparkling album with crazy characters recounting a sensitive tale full of optimism. From daily troubles to the depths of anguish, the book tells of the inner power we all have over our lives, with subtlety and humor.

HUNT THE DAD MathisPaul hates the whole wide world and especially his father who doesn’t so much as look at him. Pauline has a really great dog called Dad. Because proper Dads don’t grow on trees, together they go looking for one; and together they have a series of delightful encounters, before they head home to fi nd a surprise waiting for them.

GET WALKING Elénonore CannoneHugo doesn’t like walking. But his parents and sister love rambling. So he grumbles as he trails behind them through the forest, his pockets full of candy. Hours and miles later, his father is forced to admit they are lost. But like Tom Thumb, Hugo has left a trail of candy papers along the way. It’s very naughty to leave litter, but at least it’ll save his family from a night out in the forest. A sweet-tooth isn’t such a character fault after all. A text paying tribute to the lazy-bones who are always trailing behind.

NO MORE SEASONS Nancy HustonVioline is a princess who is all alone in her huge castle, and who loves run-ning around the meadows, listening to bird song, and removing honey from hives. Aurelie shares her small two-roomed apartment with her mother on the nineteenth fl oor of a tower. Above all, she loves dreaming – about a princess all alone in her castle. Where she lives there are no bees and few birds: the city has conquered nature. But not her imagination. A text written to accompany a concert of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons perfor-med on the France Culture radio station. A delicately poetic, feminist tale that celebrates the power of the imagination.

THE WHITE CLOTH Françoise Legendre1910. His grandmother embroiders a white linen tablecloth to off er Jeanne as a wedding gift. 1914. Jean, a young father, sets out for war. The cloth never had a chance to be taken from the cupboard. 1936. To celebrate the fi rst paid holidays, the cloth is fi nally taken out. 1944. The cloth protects resistants’ secrets. 2014. At a huge family get-together, little Jeanne hears the story of the tablecloth and its family over the last sixty years. A precious heritage passed from mother to daughter. An embroide-red cloth accompanying the family’s most important moments.

Sinon, tu perds ton argent. »

OF THE BEATEN TRACKMaylis de Kerangal & Tom HaugomatPaul, aged 10, sets out on an expedition to the mountains with his parents’ friend, Bruce. Having reappeared after three years of silence, Bruce is eager to keep the promise he made to the child to take him on a three-day mountain trek, to discover the cross-country experience. The journey will especially present Paul with the chance to set out in search of himself and to learn to fi nd his own trail. A picture book telling a breath-taking mountain adventure, beauti-fully recounted by Maylis de Kerangal and beautifully illustrated by

Tom Haugomat’s screen printings.

HOW MUCH LAND DOES A MAN NEED?Annelise Heurtier from an original short story by Tolstoï / illustrations by Raphaël UrwillerPacome lives with his wife and three children on a small plot of land in west Siberia. He is far from rich but his family has everything they need. Pacome however is dissatisfi ed with his lot and he can’t help but think that with more land, he’d be “totally happy”. On the advice of a traveling salesman, Pacome decides to set out for the land of bashkirs, where the land is fertile and costs nothing. Once he has arrived, the head of the nomad camp off ers him a deal: Pacome can have all the land he can walk around in a day, on the condition that he returns to his starting point when the sun sets. The peasant’s greed and cupidity will prove fatal.

THE WORST CONCERT IN THE HISTORY OF ROCKManu CausseJean-Sébastien Leforestier was a master in the art of not get-ting himself noticed and remaining transparent to his teachers and classmates. But now he has moved to a smaller town with a smaller junior high, that’s all over for him now. Everybody knows everyone else; his secret is out. Jean-Sébastien is a magnifi cent classical piano player and lives for his passion. Contrary to his expectations, not only does nobody make fun of him but he is enlisted in a crazy and very amateur rock band as bassist. Hence the solitary, slightly annoying classical musican, full of his own certitudes, discovers rock music and how to get on with children his own age. After all rock ain’t bad. It kicks ass!

THE VOICE OF THE PACK, VOL 1. THE SUBSTITUTESGaïa GuastiMila, Ludovic and Tristan are childhood friends. While each has found their own path in life, they have held onto the ritual of an end-of-autumn reunion at la Résurgence du loup to celebrate their birthdays. But this time, they are attacked and bitten by four wild dogs. Once they recover from the shock, they realize that whenever they’re overcome with emotions, they turn into we-rewolf-like wild beasts. They have to understand and try to control their transformations. Each in his own way gradually discovers his own nature, their own wild natures inhabiting them, which are also capable of liberating them. A red-headed she-wolf however inha-bited by a mysterious instinct of vengeance begins to track down the three friends. More than a tale of the supernatural, this novel subtly and powerfully evokes the metamorphosis of adolescence.

ON THE ROPES(SHORT STORIES)Fred ParonuzziSkiing, football, boxing, judo, bodybuilding, tennis, capueira. But above all girls, boys, men, women, blacks, whites, Arabs. Avid fans or dabblers, winners or losers, supporters or cham-pions, amateurs or pros. They live for sport in whatever form it comes, like an obsession, a way to unwind, a refuge or a means to let off steam. A collection of thirteen stories, both comic and tragic, cram-med with suspense and emotion, exploring sport as a social bond and mirror of our society, for better and for worse.

THE VOICE OF THE PACK, VOL. 2. THE PREDATORSGaïa GuastiAfter the shock of revelation a year ago, Mila, Tristan and Ludovic begin to enjoy their new state and derive great pleasure from it. The three friends indulge in long races through the forest, nights beneath the stars, drawn together by the hunger of the pack, while the red-headed she-wolf licks her wounds in her secret hideaway. A new, unsettling animal is also wandering the forest though, unleashing violent impulses in Ludovic. The harmony of the trio is unbalanced by the intrusion and has to face new trials with the return of the red-headed she-wolf. The adults are also worried about their children’s transformation and the teenagers’ attempts to regain control of the situation is symbolized by the fi gure of an authoritative, blinkered psychiatrist. This second volume is as dense and captivating as the fi rst and recounts the further adventures of the three heroes in the heart of the forest, their animal desire for freedom and their feelings of danger.

BON ZIGUE AND CLOTAIRE Pascale MaretClotaire is a shy boy beset with a myriad of complex who has over-pro-tective parents. Worried that their son is always talking to his imaginary dog, they select him his own real canine companion from a dog shelter. Bon Zigue and Clotaire start up a real dialogue. With his deliciously outdated sixties slang. the dog sets out in search of his old master and leads the boy through a series of madcap adventures Pascale Maret has found all the verve of seventies French movies to create a magnifi cent duo in the dog, Bon Zigue and his former master in a high-octane comedy-detective drama.

THE FOREST OF TOTEMS Muriel ZürcherHis mother is an anthropologist in search of an Amazonian tribe that has never seen a white man and his father is an overworked chef with no time for his son. Hence Max fi nds himself in the heart of the Ama-zonian forest. Max however is afraid of everything, and likes nothing better than staying at home. He is not looking for adventure but he gets it in forest-loads. Kidnapped by a native, he encounters a tribe hidden in the heart of the forest who have no intention of being peered at like ants. An adventure novel that takes us to the ends of the world, pinpointing our propensity for noble sentiments, and for representing primitive peoples.

A new collection with a good dose of humor :

80-120 page volumes, with tasty, madcap, mind-blowing tales.
