I am honored and excited to present to you the 2014 Rotaract Club of Lexington’s Annual Report. Our club has seen tremendous growth throughout the past few years and that can be attributed to the hard work of the executive committee, members, and the support of the Rotary Club of Lexington. We are proud of our accomplishments to date and excited to embark on the next year as the club strives to continue to make Rotaract the leading young professional organization in Lexington, KY.
This report highlights the success we have achieved in the past year. I would like to introduce the report by highlighting some of the year’s key accomplishments:
• Record breaking attendance to the annual Rotary/Rotaract Social & Recruitment event which was held at West 6th Brewery
• Offered the Rotary Lunch Series which allowed a member to attend a weekly meeting and learn more about the Rotary
• Established the Lunch & Learn Series with two successful events that brought out 60+ attendees including non-members. These events have been successful incentives for membership recruitment and are very popular among our members.
• Participated in 10 community service events• Engaged a number of community leaders and business owners during
11 professional development events• Grew our membership to 36 members, nearly doubling the membership
from the previous year• Donated $1,000 to LexArts from the Incognito: Young Professionals
Halloween Bash. This event was hosted by Rotaract alongside various other young professional organizations for continued networking and joint community service efforts
As I pass the gavel to the next incoming president, I look forward to seeing this club continue to grow and make an impact in our community.
Thank you to Rotary Club of Lexington for your continued support and to those community supporters that have assisted with Rotaract events throughout the years. We look forward to continuing to work with you and serving our community.
Sincerely,
Brandi BerrymanPresident, 2012-2014 Rotaract Club of Lexington KY

Professional DevelopmentThe club committee develops a program designed to provide information about a wide cross section of businesses and professions and to stimulate awareness and acceptance of high ethical standards in business and professional life. We host monthly professional development meetings and look for additional professional development opportunities for Rotaract that are offered throughout the community.
Club ServiceIt is our responsibility to engage our members and recruit new members through various methods that offer opportunities to become involved in our community and network within our club. We ensure the club is held accountable as we strive to reach the six goals of Rotaract as we offer a unique opportunity for our members.
Community Service & International ServiceOur club strives to enhance knowledge and understanding of community and world-wide needs, problems and opportunities, and aim to formulate and develop appropriate activities for service. Many past events our club has volunteered for have been in conjunction with Rotary Club of Lexington, but throughout the year the club tackles events and fundraising separately. For instance, in past years $10,000 was raised and donated to Leukemia Lymphoma Society. We continue to develop initiatives on our own as a way to engage of membership through service.
Media/ MarketingOur organization is working hard to be well connected to our members, prospective members, Rotary, and our community. We are constantly sharing our stories via social media and other forms as necessary to continue to share our message and keep us connected.
Rotaract Club of Lexington Rotary 2013-2014 Presidential Citation
Awarded for meeting the Rotary’s challenge to Rotaract to be active and engaged. The club was recognized for working toward making a positive change at home and around the world and the continued growth of the local Rotaract club.
