    The idea of classifying a fragrance by evaporation rates or notes was devised inthe early 19 th century. Each of these notes may contain anywhere from two toseveral hundred different notes. The notes are top, middle, and base. The structureof most fragrances is still based on three notes.

    to noteThe top note is what we experience when we first apply a fragrance. The sparkling or

    bright character of the top note captures our attention and awakens interest in the fragrance.

    middle note After a few minutes on the skin, the top note fades and we can experience the middle note,also called the midnote or heart of the fragrance.

    base note After fragrance is worn for some time on skin and has adjusted to each individualsbody chemistry,we perceive the base note, which is also called the dry down.The base note is what remains with us for several hours after weve applied the fragrance.

    Apply White Vetiver body lotion on the top of the customers hand (make sure to ask her if shes right or left-handedyou want to apply it on the hand she uses most!)
