It has been a long summer, but now it is time
to get back to work. I am looking forward to
seeing all my Brothers again. This summer we
did the Fireworks booth which turned out very
successful. I would like to thank all the
Brothers who helped.
On August 19th we did a 3
rd Degree for Brother
John Mathis. Brother John is moving and I
wanted to make sure his degree was
completed with us. This is very important to
him to receive his 3rd
Degree with us and we
wish him the best in his future travels. He will
be missed. I would like to thank all the
Brothers who came out to help with the
degree.
Our stated meeting is on Sept. 2 and we have
a lot of business to attend to so I hope all will
come. On Sept. 9th, there will be the third
degree for Brother Tim Curtain and his brother
Greg will be conferring the degree. We have a
Super Saturday on Sept. 13th at 11am and I
hope all will attend. On Sept. 16th we will be
having a First degree and Brother Michael
Griffin will be conferring it. This will be his first
time, so please come and support him.
I would like to wish all the brothers who are
celebrate their birthday in September, a very
happy birthday and many more to come.
I would appreciate any feedback you may
have that would improve our Lodge and make
it the best in Nevada.

A friend is a Second Self
Fraternity is built upon social relationships and brotherhood, where the faces of our fellows are turned to face one another. There does not exist the man who has ever gained the full measure of Freemasonry just by receiving the degrees. The full fraternal experience relies on the interactions of brotherhood. Hopefully these interactions will offer a cornucopia of ways to better one’s self and learn about others as well.
There is an old Mayan expression: In La’kech. It means “I am another you”. Is this not one of the goals of the fraternity? To find yourself in others?
The realization of this Mayan expression is an experience you might have during your tenure as a Brother but that does not make it common. In our modern world cities are larger than those of antiquity but it does not bring mankind closer together. Now more than ever Freemasonry must rely on the patronage of its brotherhood as promoters of our Art.
Remember, numbers have never made for quality! Our greatness can only be measured by the composition of our members and so to our Masonic patronage and education we must look.
Attend our communications more frequently, encourage our newly made brothers, help to carry the business and fraternity of Masonry and it, like the Earth, will return with interest every investment you make.
The world is growing faster than ever before. We must grow with it or risk being out grown. A world where the brotherhood and fraternity of Masonry is no longer relevant is an ugly contemplation.

As Summer is coming to an end we are getting geared up for the 2nd part of the year! With everything we are trying to accomplish, all of the Brothers help and support is needed to continue and end the year on a Great note!
