Current Situation weather update: The Provinces of Apayao, lfugao, Kalinga, Abra, Benguet and Mt. Province are experiencing cloudy with light rain showers due to enhanced SW Monsoon caused by TS Maring. Trapped people in Sagada Cave: - 31 people were trapped in sumaguing cave at barangay Ambasing, sagada, Mt. Province. out of 31 people, 30 were already rcscued as of 1 AM (August 19). 1 is still missing. - SAR operation is still ongoing for the missing (1) local tourist identified as Eufrocinia "lrene" Manaois (formerly reported as Marissa Manaois), 4g years old of Dagupan, Pangasinan. - Aside from the natural pool inside the Sumaguing cave, all sections of the cave have been checked and inspected by local response teams. The local teams recommended for the assistance of professional divers to assist SAR ops underwater, particularly at the natural pool of the cave. - Mayor Eduardo Latawan Sr, Chairperson of MDRRMC, requested the assistance of OCD to provide professional divers to assist the SAR operations. OCD-CAR coordinated with OCDRC1 and PCG for the immediate deployment of divers to SAGADA. - OCD-CAR with the assistance of OCDRC-1 facilitated the transport of requested professional divers from the philippine coast guard from La Union to Sagada, Mt. Province. Missing people in Tubo, Abra & Bontoc, Mt Province: SAR and retrievaloperation is on going for the reported missing persons in Abra (1), Bontoc, Mt prpvince (1) due to water related accidents. Benguet: MGB and Philex Mining Corporation is closely monitoring the status of the tailings storage facility 3 in making sure that the continuous rains will not damage the facility again. Abra: Series of landstide incidents in Abra along ,\bra-Kalinga road were already opened to traffic.

l. Current Situation

weather update: The Provinces of Apayao, lfugao, Kalinga, Abra, Benguet and Mt.Province are experiencing cloudy with light rain showers due to enhanced SWMonsoon caused by TS Maring.

Trapped people in Sagada Cave:- 31 people were trapped in sumaguing cave at barangay Ambasing, sagada,

Mt. Province. out of 31 people, 30 were already rcscued as of 1 AM (August19). 1 is still missing.

- SAR operation is still ongoing for the missing (1) local tourist identified asEufrocinia "lrene" Manaois (formerly reported as Marissa Manaois), 4g
