Who are your fans?
Not everyone who follows you on social network is your raving fan.
People who retweet or repost what you follow are your raving fans.
Find the people that will be your raving fans. These are your customers.
Interesting point of view.
It's easy to get lost in trying to get as many followers as possible in social media.
I think what Jim is trying to say is to focus on quality not quantity.
Self-promotion strategies
Using the Law of Attraction, make affirmations every morning
Put QR code in your business card and other places
I do believe in the Law of Attraction. I like his idea.
About the QR code. I've seen other people's business cards with that. I might try it next time I order a new batch of business cards. If you try it and it works, let me know!
LinkedIn Strategies
Whenever you connect with someone, tell them “feel free to connect to my contacts through me”.
Add 3 people to your LinkedIn contact list per week.
If you give presentations, ask for recommendations.
Get 1 recommendation every 2 weeks.
Be a part of group discussions.
Have a 100% complete profile.
Great tips!
Some of them seem a bit aggressive to me, but I would like to try them once I reach my current goals.
Questions
Q: What about people with multiple interests?
A: List your strengths and weaknesses. Choose 2-3 strengths and integrate them in your LinkedIn profile.
I understand that question, because I have multiple interests too.
What I did was a through research and self-evaluation of my aspirations. I then chose one to pursue. (more on this strategy in future publications)
Jim's idea seems ok too.
