T.C Ellis is a local boutique with a small team consisting of 30 employees. Working here has given me hands on experience with how to truly target an audience and run a successful marketing campaign. Part of my job description is creating displays, designing window exhibits, merchandising and producing innovative signage. I’m lucky to have this job because I get to see the hands on affect my marketing techniques have when I come into the store and engage with customers, this also helps me get to know them on a more personal level, see what they’re looking for in our store and improve my skills.

Brand Representative, Altar’d State; Austin, TX December 2015 – January 2017

I learned how to excel in customer service by making sure every customer that walked through the door was greeted and offered any assistance I could give. I gained experience in dealing with upset customers first hand and how to recover the situation. I learned how to properly operate a register while ensuring the customer felt cared for, until they left the store. I also got the opportunity to help with inventory checks and learn how to properly replenish the floor regularly.

Editor-In-Chief of Yearbook, Cedar Ridge High School; Round Rock, TX 2014 - 2015

This was one of my first formal leadership experiences. Before I moved into this position, I was involved with the yearbook staff two years prior and held a leadership role as Junior Editor. As Editor-and-Chief, I managed 25 staff members in the planning, execution, and promotion of the 2015 school yearbook. I created visual guidelines, templates and graphic designs on Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. Additionally, I handled a $60,000 budget and worked with a publishing agent to complete the project by our deadline expectations. We utilized a social media promotion strategy in order to attain our projected profit. I gained experience in leadership and project management.
