Greetings!
Thank you, St. Andrew's! for prov iding a dinner for Greensboro collaborativ e y outh m ission weekand for supporting our 26 y oung people from 7 different Greensboro and High Point churches asthey v olunteered in our com m unity , reflected on the Gospel story of Jesus with Martha and Maryusing arts, dram a, and pray er, and form ed new friendships through cooking, gam es, and workingtogether. We lift up the leadership of Jesse Carrico, who serv ed on the y outh planning team , andother St. Andrew's participants: Sam Flem ing, Nate Tay lor, and Lindy Tay lor. This cam p was co-ledby Am y Cam pbell, diocesan y outh m issioner; Felicia Cole, St. Francis y outh m inistry coordinator;and Audra Abt, Missionary Vicar at Church of the Holy Spirit.
Search Committee UpdateThe Search Com m ittee is deeply grateful to all who participated in the rector search discernm entev ent on May 1 9. Your insights and input were inv aluable to us as we prepared the ParishProfile, which will be broadcast nationally through the Diocese of North Carolina. We expect theParish Profile to be ready soon, and we look forward to sharing it with y ou!
The sum m er-fall season is when m any priests will be discerning new positions. We expect to receiv eapplications throughout July and August, and then we will work to interv iew and v isit with topcandidates in Septem ber and October. By Nov em ber, we expect to m ake a recom m endation to theVestry to call our next Rector, hopefully to be in place before Christm as.
This process m ay seem long, but ev ery thing is m ov ing according to schedule and as planned. Theinterim period prov ides a sacred tim e to ready ourselv es for our next Rector, and we are blessed tohav e Ed am ong us. And as alway s, y our pray ers are appreciated.In the m eantim e, please feel free to contact any m em ber of the Search Com m ittee if y ou hav equestions or concerns.
