St. Andrew's E-news Greetings! Thank you, St. Andrew's! for providing a dinner for Greensboro collaborative y outh mission week and for supporting our 26 young people from 7 different Greensboro and High Point churches as they volunteered in our community, reflected on the Gospel story of Jesus with Martha and Mary using arts, drama, and prayer, and formed new friendships through cooking, games, and working together. We lift up the leadership of Jesse Carrico, who served on the youth planning team, and other St. Andrew's participants: Sam Fleming, Nate Taylor, and Lindy Taylor. This camp was co-led by Amy Campbell, diocesan youth missioner; Felicia Cole, St. Francis youth ministry coordinator; and Audra Abt, Missionary Vicar at Church of the Holy Spirit. Search Committee Update The Search Committee is deeply grateful to all who participated in the rector search discernment event on May 19. Your insights and input were invaluable to us as we prepared the Parish Profile, which will be broadcast nationally through the Diocese of North Carolina. We expect the Parish Profile to be ready soon, and we look forward to sharing it with you! The summer-fall season is when many priests will be discerning new positions. We expect to receive applications throughout July and August, and then we will work to interview and visit with top candidates in September and October. By November, we expect to make a recommendation to the Vestry to call our next Rector, hopefully to be in place before Christmas. This process may seem long, but everything is moving according to schedule and as planned. The interim period prov ides a sacred time to ready ourselv es for our next Rector, and we are blessed to have Ed among us. And as always, your prayers are appreciated. In the meantime, please feel free to contact any member of the Search Committee if you have questions or concerns. The members are: Craig Taylor, chair; Dottie Clark; Catherine Clifton; Judy Hackett; Cathy Jordan; Bob Mills; Deb Richardson; Doug Sanecki; and Brenda Swearingin.
