RE Opening Mass and Classroom Orientation
TRY ALPHA! Alpha is an 11-week adventure, taking time out of our busy schedules to ask and discuss life’s biggest questions: Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? How can I pray? What does the Holy Spirit do? What about the Church? Every Alpha session has three parts: food, a talk, and discussion. The atmosphere is comfortable - there’s no judgement and no homework. Give it a try and see what you think – if you like it, come back again the next week. Our first Alpha will be Wednesday, September 12 at 6:30 PM, in the Cabrini Room (205). If you have any questions, or would like more information, check out alphausa.org or call Joe at 701-237-6063 or email [email protected]. WHY STAY CATHOLIC? During this time of scandal and uncertainty in the Catholic Church, many are experiencing questions of faith. Come to your parish home, St. Anthony’s, for a one night forum on Thursday, September 6, beginning at 7:00 PM, in the Cabrini Room. We will provide an overview of the recent scandals, host a question and answer time, and end with a hopeful, follow-up discussion. Plan to come for an evening that will help bolster you during this difficult time! MOMS, YOU’RE INVITED! The Confraternity of Christian Mothers invite all mothers to our first meeting of the year. We will meet on Monday, September 3 at 7:00 PM in room 208 upstairs. Contact Camie Dickherber at [email protected] with any questions. BISHOP BARRON PRESENTS ‘THE MASS’ Have you ever heard someone refer to Holy Communion as merely ‘a symbol’? Or has anyone told you the Mass is ‘just another community gathering?’ Come, starting Monday, September 17 at 7:00 PM, to hear Bishop Barron explain in his new study how the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is nothing less than a direct encounter with Jesus Christ, our taste of heaven here on earth. Registration is $25 and includes the study guide and refreshments for six sessions. Sign up in St. Francis Hall or by contacting Deidra in the office: 701-237-6063 or [email protected]. FOOD PANTRY- THANK YOU We offer a most heartfelt thank you to all those who have donated, and have been continuing to donate, to our parish food pantry. The response has been wonderful. Please keep the pantry in mind when you shop- the need out in the community is ongoing. Thank you from the St. Vincent de Paul Conference of St. Anthony’s Parish. ***You may submit announcements to be considered for inclusion in this bulletin before noon on Tuesday via email: [email protected]
