Presenting 61 beautifully presented units in the heart of
eastern Tokyo.
From the renowned architectural design and
engineering teams of UG and JSD, the inspiration
of the building’s “Elegant Modern” concept was
born from the desire to blend natural elements
from the outside environment into clean, simple,
and sophisticated interior spaces. This is
epitomised in the building’s central courtyard,
which presents a dramatic green relief to the
world outside, accentuated by natural light, walls
of glass and the organic textures of the stone
finishing in the entrance hall.
ADENIUM Sumida-Honjo has been designed to
complement the surrounding neighbourhood in
every way, highlighted by the use of greenery,
unobtrusive balconies, glass walls, and the
elegant entrance hall, constructed from traditional
Japanese materials.
The delicate presentation of the building’s exterior
presents a beautiful relief against the world
outside and the central courtyard provides both
residents and visitors with an oasis of calm and
tranquillity from the vibrancy of city life. The
famous Tokyo Skytree® tower can be viewed from
many floors, as well as from the magnificent twin
sky terraces, which also provide thrilling views of
one of Tokyo’s biggest fireworks festivals.
The east and west sky terraces are connected by
an adjoining bridge, providing views down onto
the rich carpet of green in the courtyard below,
and this east-west architectural concept is
mirrored in the compelling juxtaposition of the
urban grandeur of Tokyo SkyTree® to the east
and the graceful beauty of the winding Sumida
river to the west.
The subdued lighting and balanced application of natural
materials evokes a sense of tranquility and sophistication upon
entering the building, complemented by the beautifully presented
garden in the central courtyard area. This overawing sense of
arrival was pivotal to the architectural and artistic vision that
underscores ADENIUM Sumida-Honjo.
Presenting a breathtakingly dramatic palette of greens in the day and
shimmering romantically as dusk settles in the early evening breeze, the
thoughtfully selected Japanese foliage in the central courtyard is one of the
defining aspects of the building’s design, providing all residents with a
communal green space in the heart of the urban environment.
The spacious twin sky terraces provide residents and
visitors with unparalleled views of the annual Sumida
River Firework Display, set against the beautiful vista of
Tokyo’s unique night skyline.
During the day, the sweeping views of Tokyo’s financial
district to the west and Tokyo Skytree® to the east are
both memorable and enduring, underscoring the focus
on quality of life as well as aesthetics.
Offering convenient access, with wide
frontage onto tree-lined roads, ADENIUM
Sumida-Honjo is only minutes on foot from
the Sumida river and perfectly positioned at
the crossroads of four culturally distinct
areas.
With the financial and central business
districts of Nihombashi and Otemachi to
the west and the Tokyo Skytree® district to
the east, the building is positioned at the
crossroads of Tokyo’s historical and
modern cores.

Traditional Asakusa, rich in history and
steeped in culture. Wandering the quaint
lanes of the old-town, while stopping to
browse in the countless traditional shops,
provides a charming glimpse back into the
history of Tokyo.
Modern Oshiage, home to the iconic Tokyo
Skytree® tower and the Tokyo Solamachi®
complex, home to more than 300 retailers
and entertainment venues, is a bastion of
modern redevelopment in eastern Tokyo.
Opened in 2012, Tokyo Skytree® measures
634 metres, making it the tallest free-
standing broadcast tower in the world.
Vibrant Kinshicho, a popular retail hub, is known
among locals as the Shinjuku of the East. The
bustling shopping and cinema complex of OLINAS
Mall, provides a focal point to the rapidly
gentrifying area, with the nearby Kinshi Park
enriching the urban environment.
Cultural Ryogoku, the spiritual heart of
Japan’s national sport of Sumo and home
to the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Professional
Sumo tournaments are held in January,
May, and September, and there is a free
Sumo museum on the site showcasing the
deep history of the sport.

The utilisation of advanced building techniques
has enabled the designers to place extra
emphasis on the use of natural light in each of
the living spaces by repositioning beams and
providing higher ceilings without compromising
on seismic performance.
Extending the height and width of the sash
windows beyond the Japanese standard provides
a light and airy feeling to the living and dining
areas, and encourages a smooth flow of air
through every room, enhanced by intelligently
positioned air vents and interior layouts.
The Elegant Modern concept extends to the interiors of each property, with
the same attention to detail found in the building’s communal spaces
lavished on every aspect of the living space: from the application of natural
materials, the atmospheric positioning of the spotlights, the clever
maximisation of space, to the gloss finishing on the doors.
At every step, one discovers a personal touch, an extra flourish.
