The rally was flagged off from the historic Govt. Saw Mill, Chatham by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests-cum-Principal Secretary, Environment and Forests, Shri Tarun Coomar, in the presence of Observance of International Day of Forests; PCCF flags off car rally the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife)-cum-Chief Wildlife Warden, Shri Deepak Mohan Shukla, Shri Avinash Nanda, Managing Director, Agency House and other senior officers of the Forest Department and A&N Administration. The car rally, which en-routes through South Andaman, Baratang, North and Middle Andaman will culminate at Wimberlygunj on March 19, 2019 evening. On its way, the rally will stage 'Nukkad Natak' at different locations, to spread the message of conservation of forest and wildlife, a DCF (WL) release here said. As part of the ongoing programmes, in connection with World Forestry Day- 2019, a daylong workshop was organized in the auditorium of Zoological Survey of India yesterday. The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Tarun Coomar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Principal Secretary (Environment & Forests) as the chief guest of the programme. Sudevan, 49, R/o Tsunami Sirens on 3rd & 18th every month Port Blair, Mar. 16 The general public have been informed that blowing of Tsunami Sirens and its test time has been schedule on the 3rd and 18th of every month at 10 am, a communication from Safety Officer, Directorate of Disaster Management said here. Briefing media about paid news, the CEO said that paid news is news other than advertisement, published by a candidate or political party on payment. Paid news is considered on the basis of the contents in the matter contained. Paid News seeks to circumvent CEO briefs media persons about paid news and MCMC role during General Election election expenditure laws/ ceiling. It also vitiates the principle of level playing field among candidates, and it may influence voters as well, he said. Expenditure on such published news has to be included in the account of the contesting Candidate or the Party, he said. MCMC teams have been formed to monitor and to stop such news as also to bring to the knowledge of expenditure committee, so that the expenditure of paid news can be booked in the expenditure account of candidates/political party, for whom it is published, he said. Chief Election Commissioner Shri Sunil Arora said in New Delhi yesterday that the Commission has issued detailed guidelines to monitor election expenditure incurred by Determined to curb abuse of money power in elections, says EC candidates and political parties. He said conducting clean elections is now one of the biggest challenges given the prevalent abuse of money power. Earlier, the Commission held a Multi- Departmental Committee meeting on Election Intelligence to discuss the issue. New Delhi, Mar. 16 The Reserve Bank of India has come out with guidelines to prevent misuse of price-sensitive information by participants in markets for financial instruments. The RBI said market participants, either acting independently or in collusion, shall not undertake any action with the intention to manipulate the calculation of a benchmark rate or a reference rate. The guidelines have become effective from yesterday. About regulatory action on market abuse, the RBI said market participants who are indulging in any such activity are liable to RBI issues guidelines to prevent market abuse be denied access to markets in one or more instruments for a period that may not exceed one month at a time. These directions would exclude transactions executed through the recognised stock exchanges and not apply to banks and the central government in furtherance of monetary policy, fiscal policy or other public policy objectives. Port Blair, Mar.16 A meeting with all the sector officers of North & Middle Andaman District was held in the conference hall of District Office, N&MA yesterday (Mar.15), in view of upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha-2019. The District Election Officer (DEO), N&MA, Shri Awanish Kumar, briefed them about their duties and responsibilities on the Poll day and before. All the Sector Magistrates and Sector Police Officers were advised to remain vigil and DEO N&MA holds meeting with sector officers Sector magistrates, police officers advised to remain vigil visit the polling stations together and check the availability of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) in all the polling stations in their jurisdiction. The DEO informed them about the schedule of EVM randomization and randomization of polling parties by the Returning Officer, ANIPC and schedule of training to be held in all the tehsils of the North & Middle Andaman District, for which the first round of training of the polling parties has been scheduled on 25th March, second round on 01st April and third round on 08th April, 2019. The exemption by the Election Commission of India (ECI), has also been received, allowing the polling parties of a particular Island to discharge their duties at the same Island. Earlier, a meeting was also held in the conference hall of the DC Office, N&MA with all the Booth Level Officers and the District Nodal Officers, wherein they were briefed about their roles and responsibilities in the coming weeks and on the Poll day. They were advised to visit their respective polling stations and ensure AMFs. They were also sensitized about the special dispensation put in place for the PwD electors. They were directed to start distribution of voter's slips to the eligible voters from Port Blair, Mar. 16 In view of the General Election 2019, the District Administration will be organizing 'Chunav Pathshala' in all Polling Stations of Nicobars District on March 20, 2019 from 10 am to 1 pm. The objectives of organizing 'Chunav Pathshala' is to educate the targeted populations about voter registration, electoral process and related matters through hands on experience, EVM and VVPAT familiarization and Chunav Pathshala in all Polling Stations of Nicobars District on Mar. 20 education about robustness of EVM and integrity of the electoral process using EVMs besides to help the target audience to understand the value of their vote and exercise their suffrage right in a confident, comfortable and ethical manner, to harness the potential of ELC members for carrying the electoral literacy in communities and to facilitate voter registration for its eligible members, who are not yet registered. It also aims to develop a culture of electoral participation and maximize the informed and ethical voting and follow the principle 'Every vote counts' and 'No Voter to be Left Behind' and training for persons with disabilities. The general public of Nicobars District have been requested to avail the opportunity and attend the 'Chunav Pathshala' in their respective Polling Stations, a communication from the Assistant Returning Officer Car Nicobar said. Port Blair, Mar.16 A meeting was held with the auto rickshaw drivers in the conference hall of PS Aberdeen under the chairmanship of Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, Dy. SP (Traffic). Around 50 to 60 autorickshaw drivers participated. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various issues Traffic Police conducts meeting with autorickshaw drivers Use of fare meter compulsory while carrying passengers related to traffic. During the meeting, auto drivers were informed that complaints are being received at Traffic Branch that the auto drivers are demanding random fares from the commuters and most of the auto rickshaw drivers are not using fare meter while carrying passengers. The Dy.SP (Traffic) informed the auto drivers that the use of fare meter is compulsory while carrying passengers. Any violation will be dealt as per law and strict action will be taken. Traffic police has already prosecuted 368 auto drivers till date this year for not operating as per fare meter. immediate effect in the Public interest.

1. The road leading from Water Sports Complex to, Y-Narayan Junction i.e. entry from Khan Junction and exit to Y-Narayan Junction/ Dharamsala Junction.

2. The Vehicles proceeding to Dharamsala Junction and Water Sports

Complex from Y-Narayan Junction, the route will be Y-Narayan Junction to Old Ayush Hospital to Cellular Jail to Khan Junction to Water Sports Complex and Dharamsala Junction.

3. Vehicles coming from Mahavir Singh road and proceeding towards Dharamsala Junction and Water Sports Complex are not to take Right Turn from Dharamsala Junction.

4. Commercial Vehicles (only for four wheelers) proceeding towards

Aberdeen Bazaar from Water Sports Complex to take a compulsory left turn from Dharamsala Junction and move towards Girls School-R.K Mission to RGT road or towards Fire Brigade Junction from opp. Scot Hut Junction.
