The Lt. Governor visited Mus

Jetty where ALHW briefed him

about the entire project of shore

protection, dredging and the

proposed breakwater extension.

The Lt. Governor also visited

the Tsunami Memorial and paid

homage to the lost souls. He also

inspected the preparations at

BJR Stadium, Tamaloo.

Thereafter, the Lt. Governor

interacted with the Tribal leaders

In order to cater to the huge

rush of passengers to Port

Blair, the capital of

Andaman & Nicobar

Islands, The UT

Administration has

decided to reimburse the

VAT component on

Aviation Turbine Fuel

(ATF) paid on those

incremental flights (over

and above existing number

of flights), which are

introduced on Port Blair

sector during the period up

to 31st March, 2019. This

will be applicable from

prospective effect.

This decision by the

A&N Administration to

reimburse the VAT

component, which is

currently 10% on

Aviation Turbine Fuel

(ATF) for incremental

flights has been taken to

encourage the airlines to

introduce additional

flights to cope with

the situation.

December and January

being the peak tourist

season in Andaman &

Nicobar Islands, all flights

operated by scheduled

airlines including Air

India between Chennai-

Port Blair and Kolkata-

Port Blair sectors are

heavily booked and the

airlines are charging

fares in the range of Rs.

15000/- to Rs. 25000/- for

one way journey in

Economy Class. The UT

Administration has

requested the Ministry of

Civil Aviation to impress

upon the airlines to operate

An online cybercrime reporting portal has been launched by Ministry of Home

Affairs, Govt. of India under Cyber Crime Prevention against Women and Children(CCPWC) scheme. This portal is available at the URL https://cybercrime.gov.in/cybercitizen/home.htm. This portal has been specificallylaunched to deal with the complaints of online circulation of child pornography,rape and gang rape (CP-RGR) content. On receipt of complaint, Police will

initiate action to remove the objectionable content from internet. In a press release received here today, the Superintendent of Police, CID,A&N Islands has urged the general public to make full use of this portal forregistering complaints of online content related to child pornography, rape andgang rape.

book their place in the semi-

finals of the 14th Men's Hockey

World Cup on Wednesday.

England, who conceded the

lead in the 17th minute, staged

a superb come back to make

their third successive semi-final

appearance in the history of the

tournament.

England scored three field

goals through Barry Middleton

(27th minute), Will Calnan

(45th) and Harry Martin (49th),

while Gonzalo Peillat (17th,

48th) struck both the goals for
