Kindergarten 2021
Please let the office know if you have a child
who will be starting Kindergarten in 2021 to
help with our planning.
Masks
Lee Illfield informed us of the fabulous working
bee that she held last Tuesday to sew masks.
It appeared to be a productive day based on
the bag full of colourful masks she showed us
at the end of the day. We sincerely appreciate
the time that our volunteers put aside to help
with this initiative.
Lee would like to run another Two workshops,
this coming Monday & Tuesday. Please feel
free to come along and help cut, sew or bag
the handmade items.
If you would like to purchase a mask for
yourself or family members, Lee will be at the
front gate Mon/Tues afternoon. Cost: $25.00.
Please note: The Department of Education
have not made masks compulsory for NSW
schools or school aged children and it is up to
the discretion of our families and children as to
whether they would like to wear a mask or not.
This initiative was developed as a response to
shops asking customers to wear a mask and
the shortage of supplies in our area.
From the Principal Congratulations to our awards winners for
working hard, applying themselves with rigour
to tasks and showing improvement. Our
children at school are fabulous and rewarded
for upholding our school values of goodness,
truth and beauty.
Junior Aboriginal Education
Consultative Group Our leaders for the Junior AECG were voted in
last week. Congratulations to the following
children.
• Treasurer: Shano & Erin
• President: Lily
• Vice President: Charly
• Secretary: Jedda
It is a huge responsibility to accept such a role
within the school and we congratulate these
children for their willingness and eagerness to
take on this leadership opportunity.

Uniform
Uniforms are noticeably improving after our discussion about correct uniform at assembly.
The children should be congratulated for taking ownership of their uniform and trying hard
to improve.
Lost property was emptied last week and leaders went to every class to try to off-load
some of our unnamed items to their rightful owners. It is advisable to label your child’s
clothing (especially jackets) on a continual basis as permanent texta can come off in the
wash after numerous times through a cycle.
We have a huge collection of plain black jackets that have been freshly laundered and
will act as replacements for those children turning up with non-school coloured
jumpers/jackets next week.
If you are struggling to meet the requirements please contact the school and speak to our
office staff who will help where able.
COVID
The school position remains the same regarding entry onto site, pick up and drop off logistics.
I’m sure that this will ease once cases reduce again however we need to continue to be vigilant
in the coming weeks.
As published last week, COVID cases were located and linked to a close surrounding area.
Please be assured we are following protocols and doing everything to maintain hygiene across
the school to ensure your children’s safety. Heightened cleaning is still occurring daily with an
additional cleaner for all touch surfaces. The Department has issued all schools with supplies for
sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.
Once again, if any student or staff is developing or showing symptoms at school we must follow
procedure and send them home. Alternatively, we continue to ask parents to kept children at
home if they have any flu like symptoms and to be tested.
This is an important time to look after yourself and keep family and friends protected for a happy
future.

9 PJ Day Thank you to all of the children and
parents for making our PJ day so
successful for the school. In this current
climate, it is important to have fun days for
the children and get them excited.
Honestly the teachers enjoyed it too! We
were all “happy little vegemites” 😊. We
were able to raise over $300 which will go
towards purchasing more resources for
KN & K/1A.
Letters 3/4R enjoyed telling me a bit about themselves
through class letters. They worked extremely hard
and published their information which was delivered
by a class courier. The letters made for great
Sunday afternoon reading, with each child receiving
a personal reply. I’m looking forward to the future
and working with these children to bring their hopes
and dreams for the school alive.
