The concept of PLAIN has been conceived so that it can be available in models with various output levels and light core heights for economic ease in several applications.

To make maintenance and servicing easier, the battery and control unit are fitted in a separate container If required, this container can be buried in the ground to protect the batteries from extremely low temperatures.

The concept accommodates the use of standard poles, thereby keeping the deli-very onsite very simple, and retaining the domestic value-added chain.

STATIONSUN IIIThis solar light is known for its linear, design combined with intelligent technology. It is easy to position thanks to the solar modules located on four sides and is able to capture as much sunlight as possible. As the solar modules are fitted vertically, they are not covered by snow during the winter.

TOWERSUN is a reliable solar-operated LED light solution for places without any electricity supply. Solar modules (up to 8 pieces) stacked on top of each other ensure that there is a high influx of energy in the solar lamp even with diffused light. The ideal places for the use of TOWERSUN are residential streets, pavements, car parks etc.

To offer a broad spectrum of use, the large TOWERSUN 128 also has TOWERSUN 64 for re-duced light output, and the smaller TOWER LIGHT with optional light control in street and public area models.

The market town of Neckenmarkt in Blaufränkischland is the first town in the east of Aust-ria to replace its conventional street lighting system with the newest LED technology and solar lighting. In this way, the community well known for its red wine has taken yet another key step towards energy independence.

The town council unanimously decided to refit successively all lighting fixtures in a multi-step extension plan. The young and innovative company EPS soltec Solartechnik GmbH, based in Hörbanz/Vorarlberg, was chosen to consult on and implement the project. A to-tal of 101 lighting fixtures will be replaced by HELLA LED fixtures, and other conventional street lamps by a total of 94 state-of-the-art solar lights (TOWERSUN Family) throughout the entire town area.

There is nothing like too much safety!

However, standard traffic lights often do not have an electric supply line. EPS sol-tec uses its years of experience in solar street lighting to operate a low-mainte-nance LED flasher system in an intelli-gent way. The result has ensured incre-ased traffic safety with a 100% electricity cost saving.

Robust solar pavement lighting

The standard comprises a satinized light casing, which ensures that the light is spread out evenly. The highly sta-ble metal foot is also perfectly suited to your advertising. The WAYSUN is available either with radially symmetric illumination (360°) or, alternatively in 180°. Both versions have basic illumination which operates the whole night to help people see, while the main light is also activated via a configurable time management system or by a motion detector.

WAYSUN is a 976mm high bollard light which allows an individual approach to lighting for pavements, beach promenades, park and hotel facilities, golf courses, etc. The only energy sources are sun and light, meaning that the lights do not produce any CO2 and are independent of fossil fuels.

WORKSUNFlexible solar street lights

WORKSUN is a flexible outdoor solar LED light with a variety of technical possibili-ties. The modular light operates without an electricity connection, meaning that it is not necessary to lay any cables. As the light can be set up and dismantled quickly and easily using groundscrews, WORKSUN is also ideally suited for tem-porary use in places where cableless light is needed, such as on construction sites, in container buildings, crisis areas, car parks, entrances, open-air events, etc.

HELLAEPS soltec uses professional lighting technology by the internationally acclaimed manu-facturer HELLA and assembles its components in its own solar lights. Now the EPS product range also includes LED street light heads by HELLA that are entirely connected to the grid and that enable illumination conforming to the standard EN 13201 – high protection clas-ses, brilliant LED light and ingenious fastening technology need no introduction.

Foolproof assemblyThe modular design makes it easy to detach light modules and casing. This means that, in addition to LEDs, the entire technolo-gical make-up of a module is automatically upgraded in line with developments every time it is replaced.

The town of Schnepfau in Bregenzerwald is the first town in Austria to replace its conventional street lights (mercu-ry arc lamps) with state-of-the-art LED solar lights, thereby achieving considerable cost savings. A total of 62 lighting fixtures were replaced by HELLA LED fixtures, and other conventional street lamps by EPS soltec solar lights in the town area of Schnepfegg. Yet another reason to use HELLA lighting fixtures is that spare parts carry a guaran-tee of at least 20 years.

It is not always possible to switch completely to CO2 -free solar lighting. There are many reasons for this including low levels of sunlight in northern countries or the presence of lighting infrastructure (cables) that can still be used economically for many more years.

Well-planned facility renovation, in which existing lights are replaced by energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures, make a key contribution to achieving energy efficiency for the future. Amortisation times are becoming lower all the time thanks to continual improvements in LED technology and their declining price in the market.

Rising electricity prices demonstrate just how important it is to generate and use light in an energy-efficient way.

Ecology meets economy

We, along with our employees, are taking a step towards future energy independence with the “factory of the future”. Befitting EPS products, the new company building is to be built using state-of-the-art technology, achieving the highest levels of ecological and economic efficiency.

The factory of the future is being built according to passive house standards. In this pro-ject, we are setting store completely by alternative energies. We are harnessing the sun to supply our new building with electricity and heating. Geothermal energy is also used for heating and cooling.
