OCTOBER 27, 2019

Dear Friends, It’s hard to believe we are near the end of October! This coming week, we look forward to celebrating the feasts of All Saints Day and All Souls Day. As the colors of the leaves change, and they continue to fall from the trees, the Church reminds us that we are destined for eternity, and that our faith is meant to drive how we live in the world each day! On Saturday evening, November 2nd, we will take time to remember in a special way all parishioners who have died and been buried from our parish during the past year. All are welcome! Our Gospel today is another Lucan teaching on prayer—and this one really challenges the stereotypes. We are called to be humble in the presence of God. And we are called to move beyond labels: whether of reputation, or race, or sex or status. That’s not always easy in a world where prejudice can subtly infect the human heart. May we approach God, conscious of our sinfulness and conscious of a Love that knows no bounds.

Peace, Father Tom

Paz y bendiciones, Padre Tom
