@ATCARMELCARMEL

The City of Carmel in Hamilton County, Indiana, located immediately north of Indianapolis, has been one of the fastest-growing communities in the country. Carmel was ranked #1 Best Place to Live in America by CNN Money Magazine in 2012 for cities with a population between 50,000 and 300,000. Carmel enjoys a highly educated and affluent population.

Carmel has attracted more than 70 corporate headquarters of major companies that do business worldwide. In order to manage its exceptional growth, Carmel has become a world-wide model by having constructed more traffic roundabouts than any city in the US.

Carmel has beautiful estates that have attracted many of Indiana’s noteworthy citizens. For example, Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts and billionaires Mel and Herb Simon, owners of the Indiana Pacers, have called Carmel home.

Conveniently located in the heart of Carmel is the Center for the Performing Arts – celebrating its fifth anniversary and home to a three-venue, world-class performing arts center. The Center boasts a state-of-the-art acoustically perfect auditorium dubbed “The

Palladium” that has seen performances by Yo-Yo Ma and Tony Bennett, a 500-seat proscenium theater and a 200-seat studio theater. Nearby is the Arts & Design District, located in the newly renovated “Old Town” section, that is home to interior designers, art galleries, showrooms, specialty shops and numerous restaurants.

The Carmel Magazine is an active community partner, sponsoring in part, several of the city’s festivals, special events and the Carmel Clay School corporation’s sporting events.

As a Platinum Partner of the recently merged Carmel and Fishers Chamber of Commerce, now known as OneZone, the Carmel Magazine and neighboring Fishers Magazine publish a special section quarterly dedicated to providing news related to OneZone. When the OneZone section appears in the magazines, all 1,300 OneZone members are mailed a copy as well as the normal monthly circulation. Special ad rates are available for advertisers to appear in the special OneZone section.

The magazine has gained a favorable reputation amongst business owners, civic leaders and customers throughout the City.

Geist is an affluent lakeside community in northeastern Indianapolis, Indiana and southeastern Hamilton County. It is named after Clarence Geist, a former Indianapolis Water Company executive who developed three water supplies in the Indianapolis area from 1920 to 1945. Six miles long and straddling Hamilton and Marion Counties, the “Geist area” encompasses the nearby towns of Indianapolis, Fishers, Lawrence, Fortville and McCordsville.

Waterfront amenities offered at Geist have made it a haven for athletes, politicians, socialites and businessmen. Past and present residents have included Indiana Pacer players Reggie Miller, Paul George, George Hill and former Indiana governor Mitch Daniels.

Geist is host to one of the state’s largest annual half marathons: The Geist Half Marathon. The Geist Half Marathon. GREENWOOD

Welcome to Greenwood, a suburb adjacent to Indianapolis’ southern border. The city not only offers great access to downtown Indy but is also seeing a surge of growth and redevelopment which is enhancing quality of life in this community.

Freedom Springs Aquatic Park, the largest water park south of I-70, opened in May 2015, draws visitors from a large area. Plans are in place to revitalize “Old Town Greenwood.” A mix of office, retail and living space replace the Greenwood Middle School, next to downtown. Already known for distribution, due to easy access to I-65, the city is building a reputation for technology jobs with several online retailers headquartered in the city. Greenwood Town Center, an open air shopping center, at County Line Road and I-65, will start construction in 2016.

The magazine sponsors and is involved in many community organizations and events including the Greenwood Freedom Festival, WAMMfest and Corporate Cup Challenge.

Our personal relationships with the city and its residents allow us to provide a unique look at the city, its residents and activities, providing readers with stories they will not find elsewhere.

The magazine features residents who go unnoticed by other media. They may lead or have started successful businesses, organizations or simply are involved in helping their community or others. Cover stories have included A.J. Edds, a Greenwood graduate and NFL player for the Colts, New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars, members of Old Town Greenwood, and Carlos Diaz from WTHR 13 and the head of the Greenwood Education Foundation.

Published by two local residents, Greenwood Magazine is part of the Towne Post Network. It is mailed monthly to over 11,205 homes in Greenwood. 1,000 copies are available for pick up at the Greenwood City Center, Greenwood Library, Greenwood Community Center and other designated, heavy-traffic locations.

@ATZIONSVILLEZIONSVILLE

Welcome to Zionsville, Indiana. Located in the southeast corner of Boone County neighboring Carmel and just northwest of Indianapolis, Zionsville is known for being a historic and “quaint” suburban town. Zionsville’s downtown, also know as the “Village,” features a main brick street, unique boutiques, art galleries, specialty stores and family owned restaurants.

According to infoUSA statistics, the homes that we mail the Zionsville Magazine to have a median household income of $178,915 and a median home value of $429,254. Not surprisingly, in a 2015 story on MSN Money titled “The Richest Towns, State by State” Zionsville was named as the richest town in the state of Indiana.

The rural area surrounding Zionsville is alive with equestrian activities. In fact, Zionsville’s Traders Point Hunt Club is the only active fox hunt in Indiana and its Hickory Hill Polo Club is the only active polo club in Indiana. For the past forty years the Hunt Club has played host to a Grand Prix event known as the Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show. Riders from around the world descend on Zionsville in August to compete in this world-class event.

With its close proximity to the Indianapolis Colts facility, Zionsville is also the home of many Colt’s players, coaches and administrators.

The Zionsville Magazine is an active community partner. The magazine features several of the town’s festivals, special events and the Zionsville Community School Corporation’s sporting events.

Several Zionsville notables, like Boston Celtics Head Coach Brad Stevens who grew up in Zionsville, have graced the cover and were featured in the magazine. Former NBA players Rik Smits and Dave Jamerson, nationally known artist Nancy Noel and local business leaders like Jonathan Nalli, the CEO of St. Vincent Health have also been featured in the publication.

As active members of the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce, the Zionsville Magazine is highly respected by business owners, civic leaders and Zionsville residents.

The Zionsville Magazine is direct-mailed to approximately 10,000 residences in and around Zionsville and is strategically distributed throughout the town in designated, heavy-traffic locations.

CARNIVAL FESTIVALEWriter / Jimmy Girot III

A celebration is most certainly due—The Flats at Fishers Marketplace apartments has already leased 116 apartments and a booming community is being formed.

Ginger Collins, Vice President at Ackermann Group, is excited about the progress and “could not be happier with where the community is today.” Collins continued, “The good weather will bring completion of many projects at the site including continuation of the landscaping, installation of the dog park, bocce ball court and opening of the pool.” As if those amenities weren’t enticing enough, residents will also be able to relax by the pond or lounge under the cabana.

More reasons to celebrate can be found indoors, as well. The residents are already enjoying the clubhouse’s dynamic features

such as a coffee bar, beer tap, TV lounge, and billiard table. Not your average apartment community, The Flats also hosts a fitness center with 15 equipment options, Yoga Room, and an already-popular Zumba class program.

Lifestyles are clearly a design priority, according to Dobbs Ackermann, the project’s President and Owner, “The proximity and walkability of the community really integrates the residents into the neighborhood as well as provides the conveniences to fit today’s renters’ lifestyles.”

Enthusiasm for the new community is overwhelming as The Flats already has a waiting list for August move-ins. “It is all very exciting,” said Regional Manager Abba Raver – “The studios and one-bedrooms are [also] in such demand.” The Flats at Fishers Marketplace anticipates being 93 percent leased by July, so prospective renters are encouraged to reserve an apartment now!Come join the celebration during The Flats Carnival on Saturday May 16th with inflatables, ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers, face painting and much more!

Olivet Nazarene University Indianapolis Regional Center7302 Woodland Dr.Indianapolis, IN 46278877.9.OLIVETgraduate.olivet.edu

OLIVET NAZARENE UNIVERSITY OPENSNORTHSIDE LOCATION

One of the nation’s oldest top Christian universities, Olivet Nazarene University (ONU)

has opened its first site on the northside of Indianapolis. Their 17,000 square-foot building offers on-site classrooms and lab rooms that accommodate 15-20 students and houses eight full-time staff members.

ONU’s programs build on the students’ experiences and education. The university has strived to provide education with a Christian purpose since 1907. With more than 30 programs offered online and in over 100 different locations throughout Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, the School of Graduate

and Continuing Studies offers programs that “meet you where you are.”

“This is the first out-of-state site for Olivet,” stated Carrie Dilley, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications. “Our main campus was established and is located in Bourbonnais, Illinois. We have since opened sites in Michigan as well.

“In addition to our academic programs, one piece that we focus on and promote is our customer service. Our students can come in at any point in their career or education level, and we can help them achieve their goals. We have a student success team that assists them

from admission all the way through until graduation. We also have a financial solutions team that helps students find the best option in paying for school.”

Students will not only develop sound professional skills, but also an ethical perspective for applying them. ONU understands the time demands on their students’ schedules and the effort required by their job. The university differentiates themselves from other online universities with their accelerated programs that meet online or on campus only one night per week and are completed in less than two years. That, coupled with affordable tuition,

provides value that is seldom equaled in today’s education market.

ONU offers business programs – designed to meet you where you are – at the associate, bachelor and master’s levels.

“We will be offering an inaugural MBA in February 2016,” explained Cati Lingle, Director of Educational Partnerships. “Students whose employers are part of our academic partnership will receive not only a 20% tuition discount but will also be able to register for their first course for free. We are waiving the fee for this February 29, 2016, rollout. If the students work for a company that doesn’t offer the partnership, there are other ways to qualify for tuition discounts. We are affiliated with several associations. For example, if the students are members of a nursing association that we have a relationship with, they are eligible for tuition discounts.”

ONU has entered an articulation agreement with Ivy Tech which offers Ivy Tech students, employees and alumni eligibility to receive ONU tuition discounts for programs offered through the Indianapolis location.

Other programs offered through ONU such as their Criminal Justice program provides an opportunity for professionals serving within the Criminal Justice career fields of law enforcement, probation, parole and corrections to remain employed while completing the online Criminal Justice degree requirements. Professionals seeking competitive advantage in the efforts to retain their positions and secure promotions have opportunity to better understand their field of occupation and seek to better their profession.

ONU emphasizes that anyone who is in the nursing profession has the power to help people heal while fulfilling the potential within oneself. Through ONU’s School of Graduate and Continuing Studies, the Nursing programs are designed to provide the skills and knowledge to help nurses do just that.

ONU’s School of Graduate and Continuing Studies is committed to providing the kind of education and skill development necessary to meet the demands of today’s educational environment. Their programs are relevant, current and accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. ONU provides master’s degree and certificate programs in several areas to help existing teachers sharpen their skills and advance their careers.

This university also offers an online Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degree, a technical alternative to the traditional MBA, that prepares graduates for careers managing systems, processes, procedures, organizations and business.

“We are now offering a dual admissions initiative through our ‘Pursue ONU’ initiative,” stated Jen Owen, Associate Director of Marketing stated. “It gives students the opportunity to be simultaneously admitted to Olivet Nazarene University and a participating community college. The goal is to create a seamless and successful transition to transfer students intending to complete their baccalaureate degree at ONU.”
