70. Photoshop CS2 introduces a new type of layer called a Smart Object layer. Smart Objects are a
little like symbols in Illustrator. Smart objects can consist of pixel-based content or vector-based
content, like an Illustrator drawing placed in a Photoshop document. With smart objects, you can
make multiple copies of a single object and all copies will be updated when one of the copies is
edited ?but you can still apply layer styles and adjustment layers to the individual smart objects
without affecting all copies, which provides for a lot of flexibility. Pixel-based smart objects also
remember their original size and can be transformed multiple times without loss.Smart objects is
the pixel-and vector based content
71. Use the lasso tool to carefully select the elements that you want to retain as color – you may even
want to feather the selection by a couple of pixels if it looks better. Once you have these selected,

77. The histogram displays a graph showing the range of values in an image……. The darkest values
are represented on the left side while the darkest pixels are represented on the far right side. A
photo with good color produces a histogram with peaks at both ends, which means it has good
detail in both shadows and highlights. A photo that’s underexposed would have a gap on the right
side of the histogram, indicating the absence of light pixels. A photo that’s overexposed would
have a cliff on the right. You fix these problems using the Enhance>Adjust Lighting>Levels
command.
