Dear Parents / Geagte Ouers
Whilst in the process of giving and offering everything for
the sake of something, we can find ourselves looking at
something from our own perspective. Sometimes we even
have blurred vision, as if we are looking through a window
at a particular picture, as well as looking at the same
picture on video. The latter could be false and distorted,
but through technical excellence, the picture may turn into
great reality.
Dit is die uitdaging vir ons as onderwysers (en ook ouers)
om na ons kinders te kyk en die werklikheid omtrent hulle
raak te sien. Dit is 'n kritiese vaardigheid om hulle
REGTIG raak te sien - soos deur die venster - waar hulle
speel, werk en leef, sodat daar geen valse waarneming
kan bestaan nie.
Why am I saying this? I am appealing to all of us to fine
tune our senses and sensors to the inner and real needs
of our children, who are growing up in a blurred world.
May we all find the strength and wisdom to be able to
make the correct calls on their behalf.

ELECTION
Neem asb. vroegtydig kennis dat daar 'n BL
Tussenverkiesing sal plaasvind op 21 Februarie 2017
om 18:30. Met die bedanking van mnr. Gustav Geyer,
aangesien sy dogter in 2016 in Gr. 7 was, bestaan
daar nou 'n vakature op die Beheerliggaam. U mag 'n
ouer nomineer op die voorgeskrewe nominasievorm,
wat vanaf 8 Februarie by die skool beskikbaar sal
wees. Nominasies sluit 24 uur voor die aanvang van
die vergadering op 21 Februarie. U mag ook op die
aand van die vergadering persone nomineer. Indien
die vereiste 15% kworum van stemgeregtigde ouers
nie teenwoordig is nie, sal daar 'n volgende
vergadering op 23 Februarie 2017 gehou word, waar
'n kworum nie benodig word nie.
Please take note that a SGB By Election will take
place on 21 February 2017, commencing at 18:30. A
vacancy has become available with the resignation of
Mr Gustav Geyer, who had to resign due to his
daughter’s completion of her Gr. 7 school year in 2016.
You may nominate a parent, using the prescribed
nomination form which will be available from
Wednesday, 8 February at the school. Nominations
close 24 hours before the meeting. You may also
nominate a candidate at the meeting. If the required
15% quorum of parents who need to attend is not
reached, a follow up meeting will be held on 23
February 2017, where a quorum is not required.

SPORT AND LIFE” – INSPIRATIONAL

Gary is a former South African cricketer and the World
Cup winning coach of the Indian Cricket Team. He
played 101 Test matches and 185 One Day
Internationals for South Africa, between 1993 and
2004, mainly as an opening batsman.
Kenridge Primary is privileged to have Gary visit their
school and deliver his inspirational talk – “Balance
between sport and life” to the Kenridge community.
Gary is passionate about helping parents create a
balance between sport and life, and educating parents
on how to be the best supporters they can be.
