2.0 SSC MEETING PURPOSE & RULES

Jim Cummings, Vice Chairperson, reviewed the purpose of the SSC meeting and the governing rules of conduct.

3.0 GROUP DISCUSSION TOPICS

David Michaud, SSC Chairperson, led a discussion on the three topics below.

FlowdownThe group identified flowdown as an ongoing area of concern. It was acknowledged that Nadcap has implemented initiatives to improve flowdown. It was also noted that the 2009 Supplier Survey indicated an improvement in flowdown.

One process improvement is the access to online information through Prime portals. However, this is only accessible to direct Suppliers. A Chemical Processing Flowdown template that is sent to customers was mentioned as another possible best practice. All current Task Group Flowdown templates are available on the PRI website at http://www.pri-network.org/Nadcap/Task-Group-Flow-Down-Templates.id.905.htm

Current ClimateThe group discussed how some Primes are using Suppliers that are not Nadcap approved. It was suggested that Suppliers discuss this directly with their Primes if they are doing this.

Continual ImprovementHeather Meyer, NMC Checklist Vision Sub-team Lead, presented the checklist vision. She stated that the sub-team believes in continual improvement without being too prescriptive. During this discussion, it was suggested that the checklists be available as Word documents.

4.0 Nadcap 2009 Supplier Survey Preliminary Results

SUPPLIER SUPPORT COMMITTEEOCTOBER 2009

Erik Jacklin presented the preliminary results of the 2009 Supplier Survey.

5.0 Advisory & Appeals Process

Kevin Ward, NMC Ethics Sub-team Lead and NMC Standardization Sub-team Lead presented the revised Advisory and Appeals Process.

6.0 New Business SSC LT Recognition—Arshad Hafeez presented outgoing SSC Leadership Team

members with recognition certificates. Addressing the question of whether there can be audio or video connection at

European Nadcap meetings, it was stated that research into this proved it would be cost-prohibitive.
