Runway Inspector’s Toolkit Solution Vaisala Mobile Detector MD30 sensor

Detects each runway 3rd automatically based on GPS input

Reports contaminant type(s) per runway 3rd with– Coverage per contaminant (average+max)– Depth of contaminant layer (average+max)

Proposes RWCC for each runway 3rd + RCR/SNOWTAM string (aeroplane performance calculation part)– To be confirmed or modified by the trained

Simple Steps of Use for the Inspector

1. Activate the assessment in the mobile app

2. Drive along the runway Data is collected in the background while

the inspector can observe the runway conditions visually at the same time

3. Modify / confirm proposed RCR data at the end of the inspection run, based on summarized data and inspector’s overall assessment

4. Submit RCR data over e-mail (or SMS) to duty manager / winter coordinator / other responsible person(s) Data is automatically stored in RoadAI for
