Worcestershire is developing a new Children and Young People's Plan and we want you to get involved……………..The new children and young people's plan is currently being developed, and partners from a wide range of organisations are already involved.
What will the new plan do? Clarify the collective ambition and aspirations for all children and young people in
Worcestershire Focus on key priorities and success measures Set expectations around the way we work in Worcestershire Provide a framework for all agencies and organisations working with children,
young people and families to make the necessary impact to improve lives Build on and add value to existing plans
So how can you help? It's important that as part of the development of the plan we engage with as many
Children Young People Parents/Carers of children and young people Practitioners who work with children, young people and families
We have developed this pack to support the collection of responsesThere are a number of ways in which you can help:-
Encourage people to complete the online survey – use the poster, share the link via email or social media
Work through the questions in a team meeting – collating the responses and sending them to us
Use the Question Tree we have developed to ask questions over a period of time e.g. one question a week (these are also being used in Libraries). We can supply all the resources you need and you send all the responses to us.
So what questions are we asking? We have agreed a number of questions which we want to ask
Children Young People Parents/Carers Practitioners who work with families
We need to ask the same questions to everyone so that we can analyse the responses.
These questions are in the survey, and you can use them for discussions, they are:

Our pledge is that: We listen, hear and understand children, young people and families We prioritise developing and maintaining quality relationships with children,
young people, families and between professionals – doing things with people, instead of to them, for them or doing nothing
We work with children, young people and families’ strengths in a solution focused way that helps families to help themselves to be more resilient.
We focus on adding value and ask ourselves: How much did we do? How well did we do it? Is anyone better off?
We are brave enough to stop things that are wrong and work together to bring about change
TimescalesWe will have an outline plan by early July 2017 and the website we have used for the survey will be used to share this. It is our intention that the plan will be dynamic, changing in response to need, so there will not be a printed version, everything will be available via the website.

What's the point of the survey? To confirm what's important for children and young people in Worcestershire
How will the plan be used? To shape the way Worcestershire works for its children and young people.
- Allowing Worcestershire's children to be heard about what matters to them and to make sure services focus on/deliver things that C&YP want/are important to them
(We know we can’t change everything, but we want to make a difference to the things that we can change).
