Walk-in Coolers/Freezers

The Trojan Multi-Purpose Arena at Troy University in Troy, Alabama recently became the home of a 28’10-1/4” x 14’8-1/2” x 8’6” high THERMO-KOOL walk-in cooler/freezer combination. THERMO-KOOL utilized the ability to manufacture in 1” panel increments to accomplish the unique design which included actual dimensions and numerous offsets so there was no wasted storage space and every panel locked-in-place with no cutting or pasting necessary at the job site. To avoid “hidden costs” during the installation, the walk-in was preassembled at the THERMO-KOOL factory prior to shipment for a thorough quality control inspection. The walk-in package included 36” x 78” doors with 4-1/2” dial thermometers, 14” x 14” peep windows, three hinges (one spring loaded) per door, thermostatically controlled door frame heaters, 1/8” treadplate kickplates and jamb guards 36” high on the interior and exterior, vinyl swing doors and Modularm 75LC temperature alarms/light managers with long leads. Conserve energy by reducing heat loss. Small adjustments can prevent issues and add profit to your bottom line. Thermo-Kool doors have a vinyl

sweep gasket which can be adjusted to prevent thermal transfer into the walk-in. When properly

adjusted the vinyl sweep gasket should touch the threshold when the door is completely closed.
