Dear Parishioners,

Eventually, we anticipate

that more parishioners will be

returning to the public

celebration of the Eucharist on

the weekend. When that

happens, we will need to open

up more sections of the pews

for seating. That also means that we will need to have

more ushers to accommodate them. We would have two

points of entry into the church, instead of one. One door

would be marked for those whose last names begin with

letters from A to M. The second door would be for those

whose last names begin with letters N through Z. At

least, that is the plan.

Fr. Mike

Parish News January 28, 2018 Parish News June 7, 2020

In communion with family and church, Holy Cross Catholic School will provide our students with a high quality education and a Christ centered approach to the world community.

Growing in Truth, Beauty and Goodness

Holy Cross Catholic School's summer office hours will be from 8:30-12:30 pm every Tuesday and Thursday. We will allow one person in the building at a time and please wear a mask. If this is something that can be taken care of

through the side window by Mrs. Beisser's desk, that is preferred. Please call or email if you have any questions. We are happy to help! We are still accept-ing registration for the 2020-2021 school year. Have a safe and healthy summer everyone!

Blessings, Mrs. Wagner

Why be a Catechist?

Jesus sent us to “go and teach all nations” .

We are looking for more catechists who are willing to share their faith with our children and youth. Our Religious Program is planning a training for new and former catechists, I invite you to give us a call to see if being a catechist is right for you. Our children need you! Contact the Religious Education Office to find out more information at 913– 428-3117.

Catechism Corner

What happens to our body and our soul after death? After death, which is the separation of the body and the soul, the body becomes corrupt while the soul, which is immortal, goes to meet the judgment of God and awaits its reunion with the body when it will rise transformed at the time of the return of the Lord. How the resurrection of the body will come about exceeds the possibilities of our imagination and understanding. Further reading: CCC 992-1004, 1016-1018

Stewardship Reflection June 7, 2020

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…” (John 3:16)

Is your love conditional? Is there a price others have to pay to receive your love and forgiveness? Are you generous with your time, skills, money, and possessions? If you give someone something, do you expect something in return? Do you give your time freely or do you “fit it in” when it’s convenient for you? God desires a personal relationship with us so much that He gave us His Son, unconditionally! Pray for a grateful and generous heart.

Estimados feligreses,
