WOMEN STUDENT UNION The Women Student Union (WSU) is celebrating Women’s History Month through Creating Her Story, which highlights the narratives of women in their personal and collective journeys. Focusing on the multidimensional aspects of women, WSU takes time to appreciate the under-appreciated in everything from science to literature. Join WSU as they dedicate this month to Creating Her Story on the Florida State University campus. There are plenty of ways to get involved with Women's History Month! Visit www.sga.fsu.edu/whm for a list of activities. The Ladies' Legacy Banquet is one of the culminating events of the month, and a time for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to come together. WALK LIKE MADD AT FSU Join MADD Noles and FSUPD's first 5K in support of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Northwest Florida. This year, thousands of people in over 60 cities around the nation will participate in 5K events to eliminate drunk driving from the roadways. Walk Like MADD is your chance to do something about drunk driving at FSU and in the Tallahassee community. Students are welcome to register as a team or individually at www.walklikemadd.org/event/tallahassee.

PAVE THE WAY FUNDRAISER The Gaines Street Art Alley is being transformed into an attractive outdoor art gallery and a functional pedestrian pathway. The community’s help is needed to complete this project. The supporters of the Alley along with the City of Tallahassee have come up with a plan to improve the Alley. To purchase a brick/paver, make a donation to the project, or sign up to be a volunteer, visit here.

AMAZING WOMEN IN BUSINESS Nominate an Amazing Woman in Business by March 13! FORUM ON FAITH & VALUES The 23rd Florida Student Leadership Forum in Tallahassee is hosting its annual gathering Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 8 and registration is currently open at flslf.org. This forum provides the opportunity for students to interact with people from diverse backgrounds who desire to learn about servant leadership, specifically based on the model of Jesus Nazareth. It includes hearing from state leaders, a tour of the House Chambers in the Capitol, a community service project and time together in small groups. Please note there is a forum fee associated with attending and transportation is not included. The application is open, however submitting your application is encouraged as soon as possible. TALLAHASSEE JEWSIH FOOD & CULTURAL FESTIVAL

The entire community is invited to join Temple Israel for an event filled with food, crafts from local artisans, and fun activities for the entire family. Entertainment will be provided throughout the day, including Israeli Dance and contemporary and traditional Jewish music. Nosh a little, kibbitz a little, and enjoy. NATIONAL COUNCIL ON U.S.-ARAB RELATIONS The Florida Regional Model Arab League invites you to participate in the 2015 Florida Regional Model Arab League, a debate-based simulation of the League of Arab States. This academic and leadership development experience is open to both high school and university students. The conference will be held in Tampa, FL at the University Area CDC, from March 19 to March 20 and fees are completely waived! Through participation in the Model Arab League program students develop essential skills from leadership and public speaking to critical thinking and writing, all while also gaining practical, immediate knowledge about a critical region – the Middle East and the Arab world. Forming a team for a Model Arab League conference does not have to be difficult! Whether led by a faculty adviser or student leaders, any size group of students may form a team and register online to receive a country assignment. Your team will then research its country's policies on the most important issues facing the Arab world and Middle East today, found in the MAL Agenda. Finally, you will practice the rules of debate found in the MAL Handbook before attending the conference. The National Council's staff stands ready to assist your team at every step. FSU CENTER FOR GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT The FSU Center for Global Engagement (CGE) is looking for a CGE Immigration Front Desk Intern for summer or fall 2015. CGE offers programs and services to facilitate international diversity. This position is located on FSU’s campus in Tallahassee, FL. This position offers an opportunity to learn about immigration rules and regulations as they pertain to F-1 and J-1 international students and scholars as well as H-1B international employees. CAMP CODY Camp Cody is a traditional summer camp for girls and body, ranging in age from 7 years to 15 years old. Camp Cody is looking for a Summer Activities Counselor. This camp is located in Freedom, New Hampshire and pays $250 to $350 per week. A Summer Activities Counselor is expected to plan, direct, and implement activities in his or her area of expertise and coordinate the activities into the entire camp program.

UNESCO CENTER FOR PEACE Over the course of two weeks, student-delegates learn from their peers about other cultures, societies and perspectives, and share their own unique views. They undertake workshops on global inequality, cultural diversity and conflict mediation, listen to diplomats and go on field trips to important landmarks in the DC metro area and New York City. UNESCO Center for Peace also gives training session on how to apply to US schools, taking the SATs and placement exams, finding the right school and applying for the right scholarships, and discussions on how to be peace builders in their societies. This position would work in the Two Week Summer Camp Program in Washington, DC from July 18 to August 3, 2015.
